Sorry guys, I've been super slammed, family, work, travel and wrenching. I didn't see the notifications pop up. LOL.
705hp/675trq @ 6000 in 4th 18lbs.
I'm happy with the numbers as a first go around with the new build.
We had TCM issues and couldn't pull past six grand in 4th, my car normally pulls to 6500, and the TCM and PCM are getting a fresh wipe and flash with a few tweaks. We'll start upping the RPMs with 6650, and see how it goes.
Looking at the graph with the 3rd gear pulls, we'll be somewhere around 750-760 hp and the torque just behind it.
So far it's run a best of 11.2 @ 125 in the 1/4 but we've learned a lot, and have quite a bit of work to do. The chassis has 100K on the clock and some of the suspension bushings are shot, so something is moving on launch, causing it to hook/spin outta the hole. Plus, I need to learn how to drive it, and we're still trying different techniques and stall speeds. All of that seat time is worthless until the car doesn't have major issues and some consistency. Solid rear cradle bushings, and custom coilovers on the rear will help me put the power down.
We've already found that the cats have blown out, causing a major restriction, so that's a somewhat straight forward fix... go catless and give the exhaust some TLC.
I like the boxxy shape of some of these new cars and didnt realise you guys where
modifying them like this. That wagon is bad ass. I'm not even sure what it is. Dodge?
There must be a lot of people with money to spend on toys over there for them to make
so many cars that are almost not road worthy, and i bet some of them aren't.
These race bred cars have virtually no tread on the tires. Are these cars just for racing
or do they get road registered and drive around? 100k is a descent amount of money to spend on a toy.lol
That wagon sounded tits on the dyno btw.
It's a Heavily modified Dodge Magnum R/T. I've owned it since 2008, and I bought it used. It's 100% street legal (we have inspections and emissions tests in NC). I drive my kids to school in it and we take it on road trips.
I change the tire/wheel combo for the track, and up until now, drove it to every race and event. I'm now towing it because at this power level, shit's gonna break, or go wrong, etc. and I don't wanna be out there tearing half the car apart to fix something in order to get home.
I was at Challengerfest 6 in Bowling Green, KY a few weekends ago, and BangShift.com contacted me afterwards and they just released an article on my car.
