The Untamed A/T Is The Dodge Challenger Rally Car America Deserves

Ill admit its a little odd looking but still pretty badass!!!!! I know its a mopar, its not the best lookin, and fiat owns them, but all you have to say is..................707 hp!!!!!!! That 11 seconds is with a STREET TIRE,throw a drag radial and the challenger hellcat ran 10.80's!!!!!!! So this shouldnt be too far off of that.
Im not trying to start crap or seem like a new age mopar flag waver and im also pretty sure the other big 2 have something in the works, but this is pretty impressive that they came out with a car that has all the creature comforts and makes 707hp,and its not an exotic or some super car!!! So untill ford or GM come out with something that makes 708hp this is the big dog for now"thumbsup"
Sorry for the rant guys:oops:

I think Ford is going to give a big ole fashion F YOU to 708hp

It seems they have stepped to the plate with 777hp with the HELLSTANG!??????!!

HELLSTANG COMBATS HELLCAT--HOT ROD EXCLUSIVE

The Hellstang literature reads a bit weird, as in, not real. If they were smart :ror: they'd let Chevrolet go next, then crank up the boost, instead of the other way around where now Chevy can see what Ford's got cooking and etc.

Oh im sure theres gonna be some big HP production cars in the near future"thumbsup" I have been hearing talk of a eco boost 5.0,but if im not mistaken the power numbers werent anywhere near 700.I think its great that theres a horsepower war going on,but you know the government is gonna step in eventually and draw a line:evil: if they all stay on this path there will probably be some production 1000hp camaro, challengers, and stangs and we all know the government aint gonna let us have 1000 horses and not pay rediculous BIG BIG money on them

Easy. Boost is the answer. Factory setting leaves em at whatever Goverment regulation setting that meets the criteria. Buyers get the cars and realize, no way is this thing only 500 horsepower. Add computer. No way is this thing making 1000 horsepower! Dyno said so, bro. Also known as, what's been happening in Japan for numerous years (extended over to modern day American car HP numbers). 276 hp JDM cars? Not.

I'm calling it.

I'm also gonna say, normally aspirated is gonna fall to the way side soon.

You got that right!!!! For years turbo's were kind of that gray area of power I feel, but now I feel within the last couple years, manufacturer's and racers like all of us have been tinkering and playing around with them soo much, they are dam near perfected!!!! I cant really say much about the twisties and turny guys, but for us drag racers just about EVERY build you see or read about has a turbo and is daily driven and reliable.your 100% right Eeepee!!!!!

Dodge sure knows how to make a drop dead sexy looking car!
I am soooo glad it doesn't look like one of those old boxes from the 60's or 70's. Modern Muscle FTW!

Remember hotrod saying AMC WAS COMING BACK? They even had renderings of how every car was gonna look:lmao: that was pretty dam convincing

Don't follow hot rod. But I know a few mags usually do an April Fools edition.

MOPAR: MY OLD PIG AINT RUNNIN.....It looks boy racerish to me....the power is nice and it should sell to a younger crowd with money..maybe a few older folk....Still wont knock the mustang off its throne as top american muscle car...did i mention dodge isnt even american owned...sighs....id test drive it though.

The car runs 10.90s stock with drag radials. No street purposes mustang from Ford comes close to that currently.

MOPAR OR NO CAR BUDDY

^^^^^^"thumbsup"^^^^^^^^^
If im not mistaken,I forget what site, but someone said the big ole more door charger ran a quicker time then the challenger!!!!!
I get it......they are bigger cars so they might not handle like a vette, but im sure mopar didnt use 1960's technology.they are just meant to be stupid fast fun cars"thumbsup" and they'll pretty much whoop any production mustang or camaro stop light to stop light, and honestly, isnt that what its all about?I wouldnt even bother taking it to a twisty turny track.
I will say though,it does suck that their not american ran,BUT fiat did let them make these!!!! Who knows, maybe we'll see a hellcat fiat :lmao:

I still say they should throw a 3.6l Pentastar in the back of the 500 with either the old 6 speed or the new 9 speed autos. 2500lbs or so, 283-305 horsepower, granny low first gear in either trans, then being mid motor and RWD on top of that:twisted::twisted::twisted:

Might be a bit difficult keeping the front tires on the ground under power though:ror:
