Fat Girl 2.2 scale rock bouncer

Finally an update on this! Brazed on the heavy duty link and shock mounts, stuffed all the electronics and battery under the hood and added in the steering wheel and drivers seat. Still have to run the motor and tranny in the cockpit. An Axial tranny with a slipper, 7t cobalt puller, and Maxx shafts/outputs takes up a lot of room :D!

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to run it (still!) as I need some WK pinions for the axles. They're on their way, but it'll be a while yet.

Didn't bother repainting it yet. Want to run it for a while to see if anything needs tweaking before sending it in for powdercoating.

Looks great Ecoli very nice work "thumbsup"
how long is that motor?
how wide is chassis cockpit?

nice output shaft8)

It's one of the Holmes Hobbies cobalt puller motors. I don't have the exact specs, but the diameter is the same as a 540 motor can and then length is probably about 1/2 - 3/4" longer than a 540. Similar in length to one of the Traxxas titan motors I think!

As for the width, it's just over two Recaro seats wide on the inside :D! That was the original plan, but didn't work out that way.

really nice work

Thanks!

sick looking truck! but i think it needs new tires

New tires? Why? I've barely got any run time on these ones as it is :D!

Great to see that you are getting to work on your own stuff for a change!

Are you going to stick with the same color scheme or mix it up some?

Keep it up! Will be watching.

Yeah, this has been one of those never ending projects. Seems like it might almost be finished though :D! There's a high likelihood this rig will be residing in someone elses collection this fall. Not saying anything else, other than I enjoy building probably more than running the rigs. Being a vendor is great in that way, as there's always some unique ideas people come up with and get me to build.

As for the colour scheme, will be sticking with the panels the colour they are currently. Just seems to suit this rig. I know it's been changed on the 1:1 since it was sold, but I always liked the original. Frame will be powdercoated silver.
