Finally done making parts for my clod

Yep, them portals are awesome! Like others have said, if they are a bolt-on you could make some $$ I'm sure rc4wd has already called you tho, so you already know all this

Let us know how they hold up. They definetely look beefy :)

Got the body Painted

Well got the truck done and on the rocks. Found my weak link, I've Blown 2 rod ends and 2 hitec 5645 servos. I just order 6-32 metal rod ends from mcmaster and I will be ordering two titanium gear robot servos. Portals are working great stump pulling power.:-P

Ya I was pissed my camera was messed with by someone who will be nameless, to protect the innocent:twisted:

Have you got any video yet? I'm dying see what those portals sound like and to see some action on this rig. Awesome job. If you ever take orders for a set of those portals, count me in for a full set!
Tom

Just weighed the truck and it is a plump 11 pounds  and I think I need about 12oz weight in the front tires and I am installing meatal rod ends because I 've been blowing out plastic ones.

When Crawling really steep rocks it likes to do wheelies so I think the weight will help things out. I really like the portals because the gearing is so low you can stop on a very steep surface and stop and the truck will not roll backwards. 62pyro has a video with the truck attempting to crawl up a very very steep man made concrete structure. It messed up my body pretty bad I hope he can get the video posted :-P

Is that concrete face really slick? Seems like that steep face should be no problem for the almighty Moabs. Bouncing....Weights in front should help. Will be pushing 12 lbs.

There's a lip part way up that likes to hold you back. You can kind of tell by where they had the most problems. My truck has 6 ounces in each front wheel and he has since then added the same amount to his.

Incredible craftsmanship! You definitely have a very custom, one-off truck. So you guys (roydelburg and 62PYRO) are in Wisconsin? I find that darn cool in itself. I didn't think many others from my state were even into crawling, let alone machining such a work of art!
