So here's my new build, Ill try to take pictures as I go
k2-3L chassis,
FJ body mounted to frame without body posts with Savage bumpers
Geolanders narrowed to about 1.25"
Rear traxxas wheels narrow to about 3/4" and MSD Classis rock rings
Safari rack, either I will build one or get the MSD (any suggestions would be helpfull if someone makes a good one.
Tires should tuck inside the body, if not I will make fenders

Shots of the body I just finished, not perfect but my best yet and yes I know cruisers have a white roof and not black but I wanted a white cruiser and a white top would be too much

Shots of the chassis when I had it built up as a crawler, quite a few changes will happen, shorten wheelbase front 1/2", rear 1".

If you guys have any comments or suggestions let me know

Well, I got quite a bit done, not everything that I wanted to do but getting closer, I've got the rock rings on the way and a safari rack custom made to cover almost all the roof. It will probably be a little top heavy but still fun. What do you guys run motor and gearing wise in your scale rigs. I have a 45t and a 13t in it right now but I think I would like a little more speed.

I might as well say what i had to do so far,
I mounted the body by the bumpers but to have the chassis sit inside the body I had to cut about 1cm off the front.
Shortened the front arms 1/2" and rear 1" to fit under the body.
Drillen new upper shock holes to keep rear shocks at right angle.

Wheels look good and the rest of the truck to!

Can I ask what your link lengths are to get the wheelbase?

Wheelbase?

looks great! good work.
I cant wait to get mine running.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys.
So to answer a couple of questions...
Wheelbase is 11.25"
Link Lengths rear are about 98mm and 106mm
Front 109mm and 118
I think I used traxxas part number 2238 and 2239
I had to cut a little off of the threads of one of them so the end would go on far enough.
So I just ordered an R2 combo from Holmes Hobbies for it and the roof rack and bead locks should be here next week. I'll post it up when I get them on. If anyone has one I'm looking for a geolander for a spare tire, I think I will mount a narrowed Dirt Works on it for now and just not glue it. Here's a couple of pictures without the body on and on picture of how I mounted the rear bumper so that I could adjust for height

That thing is sweet bro cant wait to see it..."thumbsup"The wheels look like they fit the wheel wells nicely...Sorry bout yesterday,My kid has been throwing up like no tomarrow we'll hook up...

Nice rig bro..

K9popo no worries, I'm still hoping to be at the comp.
I just remeasured the wheelbase 11 1/8". It might look longer because I had to cut the front of the chassis a little to fit under the body.

Looks good i like the color combo, where di you get the diamond plate stickers for the corners? did they come with the body?.

Those aren't stickers, they are a lot of pain and anguish painting them. I used liquid latex to cover the chrome parts (diamond plate, vents, hinges, handles) and then after the white paint I pulled them off and painted them with a chrome paint. After that I pulled off the tape for the top and painted the black.

The time you spent to do that was well worth it , doesn't the ESC get to hot inside the blue box?

Thanks again guys, I love the way it is turning out. The esc hasn't given me any problems yet. I want it to be waterproof, as far as I've seen thats one of the best ways to do it.

looks great! there are never enough fj's running around. the only thing i noticed is that the tail lights are on sideways, but still an awesome build none the less!"thumbsup"
