Without a doubt it will be pricey.I'm willing to bet that Cross truggy-thingy will cost A LOT more than any standard SCX10. Very nice though..
edit: it's a Datsun pickup cab. Datsun as a brand was owned/produced by Nissan up until 1984.
It's an RC. Modern CMS is great, but servos still work much better when on the axle. Performance guys want servo on axle. I don't see a problem with it at all.I can't find the sr4 via Google or on CROSS-RC.COM but the servo is axle-mount so I'm not very hopeful that the rest will be well-designed.
I don't know the cost difference between manufacturing in China versus Taiwan, but I don't see it being that much different. If it is a big cost savings to manufacture in China then do it, drop the price of the SCX10 II and profit. There's no denying that as competition heats up, and it has ramped up drastically over the last few years, Axial will have to do things to stay on top.I'm extremely impressed with the China factories I have worked with, however given the choice I will work with Taiwan factories every time in this market.
You're correct, apple and the Chinese government are a perfect comparison to our toy trucks. While a majority of the Apple factories are located in China they are owned by a Taiwan company. A lot of the manufacturing is still done in Taiwan as well. Next time I need a quote for a new mold I will send it their way for an estimate.
I can't wait to see this body. Hopefully it's a different year than the Ascender and RC4WD versions. Finally not another freaking Jeep! Not sure, but its one of my favorite SCX10's to date.
Axial you just got your ars kicked. Wonder if it is as solidly build as good as it looks.![]()
Ah what, a hood scoop and a snorkel... Oh damn. Served. :lmao:
Top mount a2a intercooler.
Door bars

It was listed as a 1969 I believe, which means a first gen, which means awesome! I'm very excited to see it. I am not very excited for the tease-fest leading up to it though.
I heard that it has been in a video that was released a while ago. I'm guessing in the background or something? The source is credible.
Vaterra, Traxxas, Axial all made in the same country, all comparatively priced.
I'm impressed by the amount of steering that it has for having dogbones. The links also dont appear to be rubber like the old plastic links.
