Mate that motor combo will work fine but for crawling only, as mentioned reduce the turns on the motor to gain speed. I'm using an ansmann 55t with a Novak m2 esc. I had the larger Novak Tera 55t but it was a huge motor and snagged the linkage.
Axles are great, infancy lots of people now using to replace in other kits. The drive train is bullet proof and the plastic drive shafts very strong.
The only real downside to the build is fitting and removing the side panels. Easy with no transmission but almost impossible when in.
The side panels are held on with screws and knurled nuts, a good idea when building from scratch is carefully glue the nuts in permanently that way the panels become easy to service.
Aim to get the wheels weighted from scratch, the battery mounted on the front axle (or like me one on each) to get cog down, and your car will stick like glue.
The tyres are ok but don't really work that well for crawling as they are quite firm, I've replaced but removed the sponge prior to make them soft.
Mine took 8 hours to build, but have spent many happy hour tinkering and perfecting, and over the months have been slowly buying the hop ups and now am very very very very happy with my rig.
BUY IT it's a bit special this kit! Threads a little confusing as am also building a custom R1 but my normal R1 is in there as well, see below
