Gobo 6x6 redux...Dakar T4/T5

wow !

i liked this thing when it was started in the og build thread, but hot damn you have done one kick ass resto mod on this one. almost makes me want to drive the two hours just to come wheel with it today.

it's not sporting any RCC logos ?

how about a belly shot ?

I need to get some RCC logos...would look great :)

Off to Nahant for a wedding today. :)

Close to a belly shot here...I'll get a full chassis shot later without the wheels on etc.

Here's the general suspension layout from when I got it from Ty...the front has since been changed up quite a bit.

Tried to get some good chicken pics too ;) Maybe tomorrow if Gobo is still around!

This rig is looking sweet. Where do you pic up the material you used for the box? Looks like pretty handy stuff.

Off to his new home!

A Tribute to Gobo ;)

The turn over of your rc s are going to rival that of your 1-1s
Sorry to see that one go....

I'm like you...love to build them....but, I also run them and keep them ...I have rc cars from the early 80s

I wish I had my OG Blackfoot from '86...but I do have the OG monster Beetle my wife gave me back in '96 (It was her uncles, unbuilt)

I keep the ones I wheel much longer..Gobo was just too cool to wheel...maybe if I had the $$ to put into a brushless system for it and run him down at the beach, Dakar Styleeeee ;)

Its ok Gobo did not go very far. Just a short 5 minute trip to the local track. Then the ride back home with me. Not before being shown off at the trophy race we had!

I plan to keep this thread going and hopefully add some nice finishing touches. also trying to find a way to keep the ladders on. (stupid frat houses....)

I was having trouble trying to figure out if I should start the rover or the Winnebago. Big baby is pretty much done, so it's time to move on! I hope the new owner appreciates the craftsmanship of ur work!
