Good Ol' Discussion

I think this hits the nail on the head.

Violator I really want to agree with that but I know several very proud 18 year olds that are sitting on military bases ready to storm any beach their told to go to.

1970ties USA, bombs go off several times every day, many ppl are killed every month/year.
Flash forward to today and look at our world
( it wasent just in the US that the 70ties was a pretty terror filled decade )

I really think the ppl in power is playing us, there is less to be nervous about today than there was back then.

Just saying.

There goes my chance of ever entering the US again, flagged in a Maryland bunker :flipoff:

Pretty sad indeed, but our American friends just have to live with stuff like that, and take comfort in knowing the same could happen 78 times every day, but thankfully that dont happen.
What ever the Obaminator come up with in this regard will not work, the US have long ago passed the point of no return in that regard.

I hail every decent man that is willing to just try and be my friend. "thumbsup"

Ridiculous. I'm curious to find out what this couple's plans were, if we will. Listening to the press conferences, they were ready for some serious shit. Also curious to see if they had any ties to ISIS or some other group, or just an odd coincidence. I'm getting quite sick & tired though of Hillary & Obama jumping on the gun control BS before even getting much info. Which, if it indeed does pan out, the assault rifles used weren't even bought in Ca.

I wonder when the Left is going to wake up & realize that not allowing those law abiding citizens to carry to do so. Granted, who can say if it any at that party would have been armed at a bloody office Christmas party...but generally speaking, I'd bet my life on it would do a lot of good. Criminals already carry, so why are we, the ones who would defend against this kind of crap, left powerless?

Yeah will be interesting to see what made this 2 snap.

But do remember it might as well be playing too much warcraft or a instagram suiside pact with a little on the side.

The word terror used allready make me highly suspicious.

That beeing said, if they really are terrorists (sympathisers or sleeping cell )
well then they are piss poor, from my point of view, and proberly hero martyrs of isis.

I mean piss poor in the sence even a disgruntled postal worker could do the same damage.

That's what I'm most eager to learn, if they're full blown ISIS or sympathizers. The cache of stuff they possessed, both on them/the car & their place, it makes me think yes. Word is he left the party angry, then about 20 minutes later...shooting began. I'm wondering if/when we find out if something was said at the party that sent him over the edge & he improvised that attack. They definitely had something planned though...no doubt.

One bit that bothers me....
It took 4.5 hours from the time of the shooting until the black SUV was found. The SUV was reported to only be 2 miles away. WTF. Were they hanging around for a round two. Was it their whole intention to be martyrs.

I know none of it makes sense, but that has been one detail that has been bugging the sh!t out of me.

I'm not anti-gun, but we're way past the point of taking a serious look at the social impact of firearms. I don't have an answer to fix it all, but at the same time, something needs to be done.

It could have been a deterrent, but the shooters could have simply changed tactics (they had explosives...) and accomplished the same thing. Bullets don't stop bombs.

Fukin Muslims!

What about the non-Muslims that do similar things? Fukin Christians! Fukin Non-denominational extremists!

I happen to be working my phone when the tv coverage started so I got to watch it all unfold. The story is that some dude across the street took cover with his personal firearm and watched the shooter get back in his car. He told police it was a black yukon. They got disposed of in a black expedition. Not a yukon. The reason the cops were on the case so fast was because a witness recognized the pair. They got a name and address quick and busted some ass.

I think we're way past the point of changing gun possession. There are more guns than people in this country. Anyone who wants one will get one. Even a militarized sweep of the country wouldn't get that many in the overall scheme, and that's a pipe dream anyway.

It's funny how preventative doesn't always occur from measures taken before hand, many times repercussions cause preventative measures. I think the latter of the two should be focused on.

Pipe dream? Yes. But it's what they have to say for the rest of their pipe dreams to make sense.

I agree. Personally, I would love to see aggressive public shaming for irresponsible gun owners. Like the douche bags months ago "guarding" the gun store that decided to ban Muslims. One shot himself, another dropped his semi-auto rifle on the sidewalk, and several others were seen walking around with fingers on triggers. Or more recently, the lady that make a poor attempt to hold an unarmed assailant at gun point, and after he hopped up and ran off, she fired a shot over his head (and over the traffic in the background) that ended up landing god-knows-where.

I want the NRA making a public push for firearm training, and condemning shootings of all types instead of spending a fortune to ensure that no new legislation is made.

I want everyone that mentions Sweden to actually read and understand Swedens highly restrictive gun laws, because, no, not everyone has one, no, you can't carry for personal protection, and no, you can't leave them laying around the house.

Without a doubt something needs to be done. But, I don't see making more laws will solve much of anytihing. I know armed citizens aren't a deterrent, in some cases-such as this-that have bombs also. But most often the shooters only have guns. We need to do away with gun free zones, we need to allow those who are comfortable carrying to do. Even if it's only able to save 1 life in numerous shootings, it's worth it. We need to quit looking at guns as evil things that come from the devil. It's the people who wield them that make them evil.

I see so many comments pointing more fingers at guns than the person(s) using them for evil...

Well there you go again blaming all gun owners for all things bad that relate to a gun. That really is your go to isn't it.

There are bad people and there are good people. There are not bad guns and good guns.

Some countries chop off a hand for stealing (even with no weapon). Kill anyone who commits a crime with the force of a gun and I guarantee there will be a decrease in gun violence.

It's really simple but this country has become a social disgrace so most look at that as an atrocity.

Not at all. If guns are not to blame, then it is the people. I think we all agree on that. Not all gun owners are bad, I'd say that most are quite good. What I'm saying is that the good ones need to take a stand against the bad ones. Every time a nut goes on a shooting spree, responsible gun owners take some misguided flak over it. I'd think that by now they'd have had enough. The best way to ensure that the 2nd Amendment stays intact is to discredit those that abuse it.

Aggressive Public Shaming? Is that a real thing?

NRA does push for firearm training and education. Thats what they do.

Lol. You want the NRA to condemn all shootings. You are a funny guy.
