Harley's TCS X-Trail

Not too much new on them. Still need to design the leaf mounting blocks.

However we have been working on lots of new products that will make this chassis even more capable.

I will get back to the leafs ASAP (cause I want one for myself )

So I'm just about fed up w/ the shock geometry on the stock chassis and I really like this chassis. What's the maximum wheelbase you can run on this chassis w/ the stock links?

The same as the stock chassis. ~12.5"

It has the same link geometry as the stock chassis, except for the added ability to shorten the wheelbase.

The next batch of X-Trails should be in soon guys!

Thanks I will search better next time:)

Asshole:lol:

That would be great, I would search the thread myself and quote everytime that the wheelbase was stated in these 20 or so pages but it might take all afternoon and the post would be a page long itself

Asshole;-)

How many are coming, are they all aready spoken for or can I still pre-order and get one on this round? or will I have to wait for the next batch?

We got the next batch in. We should have them packaged and all the pre-order shipped on Monday. Hopefully we'll get them listed as in stock this weekend. Also, we had the anodizer do a little bit more of a flat black on these for you guys. They look sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So as I understand it, you don't want to spend your afternoon reading through 20 pages of crap to find what you want, but you expect me to do it? Is that the basic idea here?

As a side note, the whole reason the question has to be asked is that every picture on TCS's site has the rig at an 11" wheelbase w/ 1.9 tires. Perhaps including the wheelbase range and some other basic measurements on the TCS site would help eliminate some of the repetition that I have now added to? Just a thought...

Oh...and Harley...thank you very much for answering my question. I'll be ordering one of these chassis and most of the rest of TCS's badass AX-10 upgrades when I get some funding.

Instructions?

Does the x trail chassis come with any instructions? what else would i need to complete build? I have a rtr ax10 doner. im going to use a hpi bronco body and i want the chasis to fit that body this will be my first scale biuld and i dont want to mess any thing up, order something i dont need, or forget to order somthing. any suggestions would be welcomed.

It would take me a while to quote every time it was stated. Nobody told you to do anything ;-) I was referring to K9popo's post anyways.

Also if you look closely this chassis uses the stock skid plate which indicates that it will work just fine with your current wheelbase. I set mine up for 12 1/4" because thats how the bed came out... It was great not having to drill new holes and to be able to have them there for adjustment!

Feel free to take a look, I know its not on TCS's website but Kevin has these pics and it might end up on there eventually. I am sure he is Super busy trying to get these out to us asap "thumbsup"

No instructions needed. The holes for the skid plate on this chassis and your stock AX10 chassis line up perfectly! Only thing that needs to be adjusted to your liking is the shocks. "thumbsup"

We are actually working on a set of instructions just in case there are any questions. They will be for the stock shocks only.

For now though, if there are any questions or you need any help just post them up or shoot me an e-mail "thumbsup"

metalry101, per your request I have added more details to the description on our website.

finishline, we are working on an instruction manual now.

This chassis looks stunning , got to get rid of some of my electric touring car gear so i can get an AX10 kit and start making my first crawler.

I have always liked the scale look hence the reason i got into touring car racing instead of going off road racing. This is a total change of direction for me and it's going to take some time for me to get my head around everything.

Need to see more pics of everyones builds so i can see what shock and lenths are being used for the best scale look and off road use.

Keep up the good work "thumbsup" im hooked on this thread and look forward to getting my hands on an AX10 and TCS scale chassis soon.

Well... Just ordered my Scorpion and figured why stop there.. So went to the crawler store and ordered up this bad ass chassis.. along with another ax10 trans for my other scale project.. and some link mounts to get rid of the 3 link.. Now all I need are some 1.9 slingers and rims and gonna have a sweet lil rig.. Watch for an upcoming build!

any onethink a hi lift trans will fit in one of these? i dont have a trans to check
