Harley's XR10 #AX50062

Hey Harley do your rear lower hi clearance links hit the rx box just before full compression of the shocks? I put a set on mine yesterday and they hit the box about 1/4" before full compression side to side. Also I had to outboard the upper shock mounts because they seemed to be at an extreme angle that was slightly binding.

I wouldn't worry about that, I don't think you are ever going to have the rear suspension compressed like that. For the most part you are only going to be flexing one side at a time while on course remember. I haven't got a chance to install mine yet. I hope to get to that tonight "thumbsup"

It hits with only one side compressed also, I will watch it the next time I'm on the rocks to see if it compresses that far. "thumbsup"

Got ya. I'll have to take a look. I doubt that I will work much if the difference is only a 1/4". What spring rate are you running?
I have losi golds in the front and the axial reds that come with the kit in the rear. I will probly go to losi grays or whites in the rear soon.

Also at Nationals...

Jim at VP was hard at work back in Cali working on the new knuckles for the XR-10. He was texting me the progress pictures as the day went on. He let me know that he would be sending a few sets out via next day air so we would have them to test. Steve Brown from VP tracked me down on Friday and handed me these amazing little pieces.

I installed them and ran them on Saturday. They really help keep the servo cool. I will be doing a far more indepth review soon 8)
I look forward to this review and getting myself a set of those knuckles. My servo is getting super hot! I like my s9157 too much to kill it :ror:

These fixed that problem right away. I ran them for a couple packs already. I do not believe they will work with stock wheel BTW. The zero Ackerman requires more clearance than the stock knuckles.

Thanks for the response Harley, looks like ill have to place an order for some knuckles.... and wheels :)

Have you thought about how to move around the links and shocks to use all of the steering that the VP knuckles provide? Even with the stock parts I'm into the shocks/springs.

I'm planning on a 4PK when i start building my XR10 (on order with my lhs). I have seen the r6004 receiver and seems like it would be a good size. Any pros/cons on this???

Hey Harley, I programmed my 4pks via your setup video. I think I screwed up somewhere is there a way to reset the radio as if I never programmed it so I can try again?

You can reset individual models by going to the Model Reset menu. Be aware though that the 4PKS does have a little different display. The last few pages of the 4PK thread goes over this.

Thanks for the quick response. "thumbsup"
I will give it another shot, I was struggling with the channel mixing.
