I am also going to make one more change before the Midwest Challenge. I am taking out the FXR's and going to Castle Sidewinder Micros. Not Mambas. Im going to keep a complete second electronics setup handy but I'm pretty sure that these will work just fine.

I have been running the Sidewinder micros since January. I really couldn't be happier with them.

I can't fit any larger than that pack but it is due to the skid plate of the BJv4. If I trimmed it back then I could run the 860 without an issue.

My skid is flipped backwards so I can run an 860 on the mount

BTW, where did you get your sidewinder micros? Best price?

I honestly never even check anywhere but Holmes. John has been so helpful over the years that I don't even think about it. His prices are always great.

However last night when I was finishing up the truck I found that one of the Sidewinders was bad. I haven't been that mad in a very long time about RC stuff. Trying to make a change like that last minute was a terrible idea but still I was furious. So now I have to completely rewire my truck again tonight to put the FXR's back in.

Any difference between the FXR and the CC? Ive got 2 brand new FXR's with 45t motors and I was shocked to see you switch over to CC instead.

I wish I could tell you. Until I get them replaced I won't know. I just like to try all kinds of different options. It helps to be able to support things like the 4PK and 4PL when I can help people with setup and such.

I just also made the switch...Just to see the difference...Was running FXR's.
The FXR's are solid because of the size, there just very throttle jumpy..They are
still way smaller then the Mamba Micros though. But the castle stuff is soooooo
smooth, and I just like Castle. I'm glad to make the switch, plus I would also
break the caps off of the FXR's sometimes, hated that.

I'm very curious about your opinion on the ESC switch.

I'm really still too pissed off to talk about them  Castle is local to me, so I will go down there next week and get a new one in exchange.
