HH Servo

i haven't heard from HH yet after sending in 2 'contact online' requests. I tried calling and it rang maybe 8 times before I hung up.
Anyone have any other ideas (besides JRH seeing this and cracking the whip:mrgreen:)
I just want a new gearset!

in the meantime, i ordered one of the bluebird servos from another thread

Hv400 is a different servo and not part of the middle pin issue.

Check your spam filter. We have had a little string of upset customers that aren't getting our replies since our latest server upgrade and new IP. Justin doesn't let an email get past, especially something as straightforward as this.

Absolutely we will send pins for folks that want to be proactive. The shipment got split and we haven't received the bulk pins yet, so Folks with rebuilds are getting new servos until we get the additional pins. I would estimate another week, I'll keep y'all updated here

Thank you sir.

Pins just came in, along with a 12v version of the HV500  We will announce the new servo later today.

Anybody who wants a new middle pin, email warranty@ with the following

Name
Shipping address
Proof of purchase

Be sure to let us know you want an updated middle pin in the email too!

Damnit! Every time I buy something else.. Something new and cool comes out.

I'll have to keep an eye out for servos I guess

Done. Forwarded my original email receipt from HH for the HV500.

I noticed my account info is gone from the website... I had to re-register with the same email I have used for orders in the past. Was there a system change?

Specs on the current HV500 indicate about 60 oz-in per volt. If it scales linearly it would create 720 oz-in at 12v!

We still have order history if you need to get some info. Wasn't any way to migrate them though.

The SHV500 is about 500 ounce inches on 3s lipo. I redesigned the motors for it, they are upgraded heavily to run cooler and also have less heat fade. I figured the folks using them would be the kind to run for hours.

Maybe we can quit telling folks they need a bec, lol

Servo page is here. Waiting for the fancy photo, it looks just like the HV500 plus an extra pigtail. It uses the same gears as the HV500. I redesigned the drive motor and changed the electronics for higher voltage use and cooler running.

SHV500 Servo - Servos - Electronics & Wiring

The rundown:

The BLS SHV500 servo is designed for R/C Rock Crawlers, but at home in any vehicle. It is powered directly from a 3s lipo, eliminating the need for an external BEC! Clean up your wiring, gain space in a tight rig, and enjoy near silent performance with the upgraded brushless motor and circuitry.

FEATURES:

Water-Resistant Alloy Case
O-Ring Seals
All Metal Gears
Brushless Super High Voltage motor
Upgraded N38EH 200c rated magnets
24cm servo lead
24cm 12v power lead with JST plug
3s Lipo compatible (16v max)
1 Year Warranty
SPECIFICATIONS:

Weight: 73g
Dimensions: 41x20x40mm
Spline: 25 tooth (Futaba type) M3 threaded
Torque @ 11.1v: 32.4 kg/cm (450 oz/inch)
Speed @ 11.1v: 0.10 sec
Torque @ 14v: 37.5 kg/cm (520 oz/inch)
Speed @ 14v: 0.08 sec

I engineered the motor to have about the same output as the 8.4v version, but the speed increased quite a bit. We have been running our prototypes for about 6 months now. It's weird not having a BEC on the rig!

Very cool. Looks like i know what my next servo will be. I love that you say it's more quiet.

How do you wire it up straight to a 3s battery? Do you have 2 leads? 1 for the rx and one for power?
