Hi John, need to order for some motors that are out of stock.

I'm looking for two TorqueMaster Pro Handwound in 45 or 55 turn. I can pay through paypal or CCard. When do you think those will be available?

Thanks,

John / iphonewizz

I saw berg axles at a good price (in my opinion) so finally decided on doing a berg build. I saw your berg thread, and you had two 5T cobalt pullers on it. Did you have to do any modifications to get your pullers to fit, or does it fit fine with no additional modding?
(edit: it looks like you put the links on the outside mount and with bent links angled out?)

I was planning on either stuffing two 7Ts or 10Ts. Not sure which one yet. I want to use a 3S lipo for wheel speed bashing, but i read that the 7T gets really hot on a 3S. I want to do a mix of bashing and crawling, would the 7T just get too hot on a 3S?

As far as ESCs go, I was planning on using your BR-XL (when you have them out...I am in no hurry. This will be a slow build waiting on sale prices on other various parts and chassis). Can your BR-XL handle running two motors, or do I need to run two of them. My other two choices are to run dual FXRs or run a single FXR Pro.

I mounted my links and shocks on the outside of the mounts, and used bent links on bottom to clear the motor can. It wasn't too hard really.

The 7t gets hot on 3s, but not too hot to use. I prefer the 10t for all around bashing though, since it does run cooler. I generally run 3s.

The TM BR ESC will handle two motors no problem. I don't have a "turn rating" on it yet, but I couldn't even get it to warm up with two 55t on 6s lipo.

I still have some 55t in stock last I checked.

Hey JRH,I was wondering what the wait time would be on getting 2 Torquemaster 40turns?I was also wondering about your ESC.Will you have some before June 20th?.Does it have a 6v internal bec or would I have to use the CC bec?Would it work well with 2 40 turns? At the latest I am trying to have my Bully rig done for the MO crawl off comp..And I would much rather my rig have Full of Holmes electronics.(Support my fellow Missourians).Well except for the Punk RC dig switch..:)Just get back with me and let me know what's up..I would be willing to be a tester on that esc if need be....I also need one of your HH 11volt lipos..When you gonna have those in stock again and would it work out well for my set up listed above?Probably gonna need a Hyperion 6061 ac/dc charger too..If you can get me something going on this please do so and let me know and I will make a trip up to Columbia and give you some cash and pick everything up..8).

P.S. Can I get a Local discount package deal?;-)

Hey John just wondering if you got my email about my outrunner? I know your busy so no worries, I have another I can use for now 8)

Yep, I got it. You should get an email back soon. Im gonna do a bit more inspection to make sure there isn't any internal damage to it.

About three weeks for 40t motors, I can get them put into the next batch. I have an option for custom winds on the site that allows you to get whatever you want. Just FYI, only 12% speed difference between a 35 and 40 or 40 and 45t.

I don't have an exact date on the TM BR ESC. I should have protos by the comp date, but team members get first dibs for the testing purposes. It will work fine with two motors.

I am waiting on more lipos. The factory takes 6 weeks to make em and I still haven't heard back whether they got my order or not. Boooo!!!!

Mr Holmes: Question on a prob i'm having. Been running a 8711 servo wired directly to BEC (with "Y" harness, signal only going to rx) worked well for 9-10 months plus, then servo would bounce one direction several time with just one input. Sent it in for repair, installed a Hitech 7955 and all was good. Got 8711 back rehooked up and bingo started doing same thing; hooked the 8711 direct to RX and all good!!
Just courius why the hitech works fine with the BEC but the 8711 goes crazy...any suggestions:?:

BTW...got one of your Mini torque masters, SWEET!! "thumbsup"

Thanks for any help you can give!! Am going to try new BEC, need another, and "Y" harness...just baffled:-(

Generally a servo will bounce around if the RX is giving a weak signal, or if it is being over volted.

Do you have anything else getting power from the RX? How does the RX get power when the CC bec only runs the servo?

Well I am running the Bully 2 axles..So what would you recomend for my application..35 or 45 turn?Since there is not that much difference either way from the 40.I just wanna get something that would work good for my application and I know some people talk about 35's being to fast..I just need to make sure I have something by the first week of June so I atleast have a little time to practice with my new rig before the Missouri Crawl Off.And if you could set me whatever motors you recomend to the side for me and I will just drive up and pick them up from you in the next few days..Do you have Hyperion 6061 ac/dc chargers on hand too?Ahh yeah..I am gonna need a CC bec too..Might need a couple other things too..Let me see how much money I can get rounded up between now and when you have the two motors for me atleast..

Mini Torque Master Issues

I've got a mini Torque Master that is cutting out. Not sure what the issue is, a bur, brushes? My Daughter will start to drive the MRC and the moment she stops it wont start again unless you give it a nudge. I have checked the esc, RX, even the servo and they are fine. I also installed the stock motor and the problem went away. I'm pretty sure the motor isn't very old, but not positive since I bought the MRC used if you call couch crawling used.

I have been running a HH MTM in my MRC since they were released and haven't had a single issue so I'm stumped.

I would appreciate your help

-Brian

I'm having a similar issue with an Integy V11 35t that i got from HH. It's in a Tamiya CR-01. I geared it higher than stock for more speed. Once it starts running it's ok, but when you stop you have to nudge it get it going. I'm running a FXR and CC Bec and 3s lipo (20c Align battery).

i was thinking maybe it wasn't generating enough torque to get it going from a stand still. But I really don't know.

Bmuzz - hope you don't mind me jumping in on your question. :) It seemed too similar to my issue.

Hi - just have a question to the 7T Puller:
Is it a good idea (or a not too bad idea) to run this beast with 9.6V NiMh or does this not work? If not...
...is a 2S LiPo enough? Or is 3S worth the high temperatures of the motor?

Thanks!

John: Thanks for taking the time to respond"thumbsup" Played with voltage-output of BEC reduced to Factory setting (was at 6vlt) and 8711 works again. No bouncing....:)

so im running your 45t handwound with 2/3a 7 cell nimh 1500 packs. im looking to get a bit more wheels speed out of it. what would you recomend for a spur/pinion setup?

JRH, last week I ordered a couple of your Cobalt 454's to run on my 2.2 MOA rig. What pinions do you recommend?
I'm planning on running either my Losi 3S or 2S lipo with a Tekin FX-R ESC....
Thanks"thumbsup"

i have the crawlmaster sport 3014-18 and an r2d tranny when i get in off camber positions the dig yolk and motor grind, can i shave some of the dig yolk and still maintain its integrity. also, how small o your stickers come i would like to get some smaller ones for my rig. thanks

Need reply from John Holmes

John,

I purchased an Integy V11 55 turn motor from you a month ago for a TLT I was rebuilding.

I have been having problems with it ever since I got it.

It turns out that one of the brushes was stuck in the endbell, so I tried to pull it out. It was really stuck in the endbell, and I could see that I was starting to fray the braided cable that connects to the brush, so I tried to pry it out from the side with a pick - well, I cracked the brush! . . . and to top it off, the bottom half of the brush is still stuck in the end bell.

So, I pulled the other brush out, and removed the endbell. I took a small dowel and finally pushed the stuck brush out of the endbell. The channel that the brush slides in was packed with a green, very thick, sticky goo, and had glued the brush in the endbell.

The armature is pitted and was black from arcing out the brushes.

I need to get this motor replaced.

I had expalined all this on your help section of your website, but I have gotten no response.

I need to get this resolved. I have purchased two motors from you, a BEC and a Sidewinder - all in the last year, and your service has been good until now.

Email me at john.rabenius@live.com , or call me on my cell at 919-428-5901.

Thank you for your fast reply,

You can disregard this question ^^^
Another forum member answered it for me...

I would run 35t motors because I like extra wheelspeed. I do have the hyperion chargers on hand. I have a few 35t motors here for you if you want them before the crawl off.

May be the brushes sticking. I am waiting on more of them right now, probably get them late next week. If the comm has been burned you will need a new armature too.

Sounds like a burned comm. You will need a comm and brush cut.

I like 3s for comp use. 9.6v nimh works well, but if you use little cells they get beaten on pretty hard.

so im running your 45t handwound with 2/3a 7 cell nimh 1500 packs. im looking to get a bit more wheels speed out of it. what would you recomend for a spur/pinion setup?

You could really gear it anywhere you want. The limiting factor will be your battery pack.

i have the crawlmaster sport 3014-18 and an r2d tranny when i get in off camber positions the dig yolk and motor grind, can i shave some of the dig yolk and still maintain its integrity. also, how small o your stickers come i would like to get some smaller ones for my rig. thanks

You should be able to shave some off of the yoke with no problems. I have smaller stickers on my site, 1/2" diameter.
