Hit & Run Wraith - Ultimate G6 Machine

Had an awesome day and the truck was incredible. I'll post everything up later, right now I've got a bunch of crab to eat!

Crab? Tell me about the Crab. I love Crab. The only thing I love more than scale is Crab! I've been known to shut "All you care to eat Crab nights" down! Post up any and all pics and video of the event. Glad to hear you weren't part of the major storm events. "thumbsup"

After just four hours of sleep 7:00 AM felt like it was there in a blink of the eye. I finished the car and drove it just a few feet before calling it good. Evol stopped by and picked me up and we head to the Goat Hill ORV.

We setup the pits and got ready to kick off the day.

The course was open to walk, we have had a bunch of rain the last few days I wanted to assess the condition of the trail.

Just before 11 we lined up for a short drivers meeting. The setup was an open format, free run style. Up to 11 teams could be on the course at a time.

There about 20 total teams signed up for 1.9 and 2.2. The same course was run by both classes.

The course was amazing, really pushing the trucks to set a good time was causing a lot of breakage and DNF's. DMG got wrapped up in a course marker flag and hit the throttle on his Pro4 HD and destroyed an Axial universal with a quickness!

Bad Attitude and I set out on our first run, and the first trucks on course for the day. This would be the first test of the truck, I was still pretty nervous even though I knew the majority of my components have been proven. The run was solid, however the further we got in the more and more slip was coming from my slipper clutch. Towards the end it was getting pretty bad and caused some issues for making the tougher climbs.

Lap 1: 13:50, setting pace.

We went out for another run after tightening my slipper. About half way through, Paul blew up a stock final gear. Our only DNF of the day.

Lap 2: DNF

We decided to try and get one more lap in before lunch. It was a successful run but a roll over cost us time and we finished 15 seconds shy of our first run.

Lap 3: 14:05

After lunch, we hit it again with a goal in the 12's. Again, a solid run! We even blew our goal away. We still had the lowest time but this stepped it up even further.

Lap 4: 11:53

I convinced Paul to do one for lap, pushing it as hard as we could while still driving smart. Blowing by traffic and making the driving smart we set yet another low time, and one that would be good enough to lock down the win for the day.

Lap 5: 10:55

II literally couldn't be any happier with the performance yesterday. The Stiffy Kit was a perfect blend of performance and style.

I am going to keep running the truck this week and see if there are any tuning avenues I want to explore.

I still plan on new wheels and a handful of scale details. I also want to simplify the wiring and do a hood mod.

I also may change the hood for a DC Rubicon or Bronco.

I was really impressed with the way this WamBam Wraith performed right off the bat, Great job driving Josh!
DMG Stiffy kit FTW!

Then I started in on the tires and wheels. The foams from CI felt great as always, but I can't say I know exactly what the new tech is. Nice firm inner should be great for the speed of this rig. Medium outers up front and firms in the rear. The Pitbulls are filled up nice and I'm looking forward to hitting the course with them.

Hallo Harley congrat for the comp! just wanted to ask for your comments about the Pitbulls with CI Double Deuce foams....
I am planning on getting myself a set of Pitbulls like yours + CI foams and would like to be sure about what foams (size and hardness) I must order....

my rig weights approx 9 lb and wheel width is 1 inch

thanks a lot for your kind reply!
