Hit & Run Wraith - Ultimate G6 Machine

What brand of wheels are you using?
How wide are they?
Which Pit Bull 2.2's do you have?
What density of foam do you have?

I also need to point out that the latest design of Double Deuce Foams do not mount on wheels narrower than 1". And when I say 1", I'm talking about the clamping surface, not outside ring to outside ring. The newest round of Vanquish Products 2.2 OMF, KMC Enduro, & all Method wheels DO NOT work with the comp cut style / standard / latest foam design that Harley uses in this build thread. The clamping surface of the latest VP wheels are .8" in width and I could not get the new foams to mount up easily, if at all, without narrowing the inner foam.

At this point I do not plan to change the foam design. If public demand is there, I may bring back the narrow inner again (even though it does not properly fill or shape the tire as well as the latest design of Double Deuce foams). PitBull Tire made a truly scale tire. PitBull took one of their 1:1 tires and properly shrunk it down to scale. People don't put a 2" wide tire on a .8" wheel and achieve a scale look. A wider wheel would achieve a more scale appearance and would also yield better and more predictable performance.

You don't see 1:1's with the profile of the tires shaped like this= )(

What you do see, is a sidewall much more in line or proportioned to the rim, creating a profile shape that looks like this= ll

Enthusiasts and builders understand this, but our voice does not count or goes unheard. I am truly disappointed that the wheels are .8" in width from VP. Maybe some one will make a desert race 2.2 tire that will be in proportion to the .8" wheel in the future.

Totally agree 100%. "thumbsup"
