Hitec only servo problem

Have a really weird problem in a rig
Electronics setup
Mamba X
Tried 2s and 3s lipo
Spectrum dx3c
Castle bec
Roc 412 3100kv
Stock wraith lights
Hitec 7954 servo

As soon as the ESC powers up the servo goes full turn right. I tried 2 other brand new 7954s and a used one from another truck same problem. I figured it must not be the servo. So I

Rebound the radio twice
Tried an AX3 radio and receiver
Reprogrammed the ESC twice
Removed the lights from the receiver
Unplugged the motor
Tried another bec
Removed the bec
Check supply voltage to the servo
Used an extension to get the servo further from the esc
Threw some shit at the wall.

Still no luck with the problem so I hooked up a solar, savox, futaba, Traxxas and a couple no name stock servos and they all work fine. I hooked up a couple hitec mini servos and they do the same thing turn full lock one way and won't recenter or move with controller input. I tried two of the 7954s one in my summit and one in my twin hammers and they work fine. Summit has a castle MMP and TH has an SV3. The hitec servos just won't work on the Mamba X for me for some reason. Am I living in the twilight zone or is there something different with Hitec servos over other brands ?

I've got nine 7954s in rigs and five of them run on castle ESCs and I've never had this problem. I'm just going to use the Old Savox I have for now as it's nearly as powerful and looks like new. It came out of a used crawler I bought but I like to run all 7854s in my crawlers and summit just for ease of keeping spare parts. Seeing the three new ones sitting in there little blue boxes and not being able to use them on this shiny new Mamba X is frustrating.

Any suggestions on something else to try ?

I should mention two of the 7954s I tried had been plasti dipped but the other two were straight out of the box. The minis were opened up and sprayed with silicone electronics spray but they are the shift servos on my summit and they work fine.

I ran a Hitec 7950 on mine (Mamba X, 2300kv Roc412, Futaba radio gear) and it didnt have that problem. Once I put the longer servo horn on it, I did manage to stall it out a few times when wiggling the wheel back and forth....Not sure if it was the Mamba X's BEC or the 7950, but once I swapped that out for a Savox 2290, it has been great.

When you tried the BEC, did you remove the power wire from the ESC to the RX?

and so what voltage are you reading at the BEC - RX ?
^ using a voltmeter to make determination ?

the 7954 needs minimally 6.0v - 7.4v for operation.

Yer sure you've plugged the servo into the RX correctly ?
^ being sure the servo's plug/wiring is in the correct order ?

Be sure the ground wires are on the same side at the RX
or maybe the plug needs be 180* ?

steering lock up to one side sounds to me like it's not grounding right
or there is a dead short somewhere.

Plugging the servo in backwards could cause damage.

tough guessing game... helps if you post pictures.

I am using a fluke meter so no worry there. I have 7.2-7.3 at the servo connection. The servo pos,neg and signal are for sure in the right spots.

It's for sure ESC related. I swapped the esc out for an MMP and an RX8gen2 and everything works fine. I see there's already a firmware upgrade for the Mamba X. I'll try that.
