Hoppa's B2DA

Thanks Derick

Couple pics of progress. I'll mill them tomorrow after work.
There not perfect but close enough for a toy truck.

Looks good to me... will you have to retemper the steel? Or mill and run?

I'm just going to run them. I could heat them up any quench them in oil but I'm not sure if the results would be good or bad. I might make them brittle.

So the short side Wraith is too short, so cutting down another long side wraith shaft would be best correct?
Or maybe XR shafts, I will check it out on mine soon.

The short side was roughly .100 to short. I just added a little material to the end when I welded up the ends.
I didn't try xr shafts. VP cvd's may be a good option if the shafts are 5mm then all you would have to do is trim them down and put the flats back on.
I didn't try xr shafts, let us know how it goes."thumbsup"

This is the current plan. I wanted to do this sooner but thought I would have to use the 8* wraith knuckles to make it work and didnt want to go with the 8* stuff, but now that it seems the stock knucks will work I'm wanting to try the xr/wraith style shafts.

Good work Josh! You always have a way of thinking outside the box and making things better!

Yes I'm done with the axle swap.
The only way I'm going to spend 100.00 on axles is if these fail and after I try another set of axial uni's.
I went this route because it was inexpensive and I had the axles allready.
I also have zero faith in rc4wd xvd's due to previous experience and Rowdy's recent pics.
