Hot Wheels Collectors?

Anyone want to do some trading on treasure hunts that you have that are extras to fill in ones you might not have that I do?

I gave around 4500 to the local toys for tots when I separated from my ex, so she didnt get them. I have a few, a few collectors club cars, lots of motorcycles and 2 dioramas, if anyone wants to trade for something, let me know.

I started collecting when I worked at Toys R Us in early 2000's. I have 1300+/-. I think the reason people buy these is because they're so cheap so you just buy, buy, buy. I'm looking to sell though, PM me if you want 'em.

use to collect them, but got tired of the rude people and ones that had a inside source to get them all the good ones all the time. had over a 1,000 nip and have sold off just about everything. and of course those funds helped fund the rc projects.......lol......

I own a few:lmao:

Never got into the whole treasure hunt craze, if it's a casting I collect I'll pick it up if not it's no big deal. Never understood what all the hype was over a chase car thats made in the thousands. Hunts from 95 are the only ones that continue to hold any value and they made 10K of each that year.
Don't get me wrong I do collect chase cars but from mfg's like Johnny Lightning and Greenlight collectables where there chase cars are 150 or less world wide. Treasure hunts brought a bad element to the hobby and wish they were never created. Too many people thinking there going to get rich off them and buying everyone they can get there hands on to throw on ebay.

I had about 700 that were NOT NIP, I played with the all. They were from 1968 through 1971. Then there were issued in sets each year and I had all of the sets with original Hot Wheels cases for all of them. Sold them in 1996 to fund my US Navy retirement party and my move. Got about $1300 for them.

(EDIT) Oops, not 700, hands were going faster then the brain. I had about 300. But the case and some tracks and most of the cars were mint just not in blisters.

Have a little over 10,000, most of which are on display in the basement. Probably a few hundred of those are redlines, but none of those are in their original packaging.

Talk about a candy store, wow!

Wow, my 3 or so years worth doesn't seem so bad now. I've only got about 400 or so. My wife is always getting on me to sell them, of course she would want me to sell them at a yard sale for $0.25. I know that most aren't worth much but I know I have some TH and variants that are worth a little more. All of mine are 98-01 ish.

Last one I bought is a misprint, it's a DC Comics colour changer car. The card says it's supposed to be The Green Lantern (Challenger) but the car is for The Joker.

Woke up from a dream and can't believe how pissed I am at something that didn't even happen......

Near as I can tell I was at some kinda resale boutique, and the bobbed hair little skank at the end of one of the registers was trying to pull the old "Oh, but you HAVE to, think about the children..." crap. I ever see that broad she's getting a throat punch just for simply existing.

Apparently it was my meager little Hotwheels/Matchbox collection that was getting forked over. Yeh right, when you pry 'em from my cold, dead hands!

Problem is, it was also some of the larger plus-sized cars and farm implements, (which I've never had).

UGH! I need to go make a pot of coffee so I can settle down, and go check my box downstairs to make sure there's still cars in it.

I had dreams like that and its freaky when you see that person.

Tell me about it! Had several dreams where the locations have come true. Perhaps not the people or actions depicted, but the setting have been unsettlingly real.

Anyway, did a quick check, all are accounted for. 8)
