House's Generic Ti-Fighter

Well dummy me, I didn't take in account the built in steering stops on the TiFi's, so back to the mill tomorrow to do some hogging on the front weight setup...

More slight modifications. I can't say "Built Not Bought" like Skaldiddog, but I have put my own fair share of labor into this thing... ;)
It is much easier for me to modify stuff than build from scratch, so I bought some no slop bushings from Erik D_lux. Not sure what you are turning these with, but the set I picked out of the bag were all within .0005. Great product Erik! With that being said, my SDS c-hub to VP knuckles were different than a standard size, so off with .0055 of material! "thumbsup"

That's some tight tolerances EDL."thumbsup"

When making bushings, I use sandpaper on a reference surface to remove material > 0.002".

That's one mondo lathe you go there.

I thought about sandpaper, then I thought about busting out my mini lathe, but used this one (not mine) instead.
It is a small Hardinge Chucker Lathe. It isn't that big, just looks big with a tiny bushing in the collet.

Finally got this thing out for a shake down run! Felt pretty good going through a couple battery packs with no carnage.
What I thought may be a good idea on my tierod design didn't turn out so swell, so I will make a new more conventional one tomorrow...

Thanks Stu!
Got a pretty generic looking drag link and Tierod fabbed up tonight.
Have to see if I like it better than the last one...

I adjusted my servo end points to where the knuckles hit the axle stops, so no more travel is needed at this point.
What you cant see is I am using the inner holes on the VP knuckles, as I machined the outer ones off in efforts to keep my tierod closer to the axle...
