Hpi wr8

Just got an email from Pro-Line and saw this. A Ford Focus body for shortcourse trucks. Pretty neat if you have a sct, but a little off scale for me.

Saw that a few weeks ago. The dimensions are pretty terrible, I guess its a cheap alternative though...

Yeah that looks terrible , but it does mean that proline has noticed the " rally movement " and might make a couple decent bodies that will fit my df03 . I can't justify spending $50 for a tamiya body that's gonna detonate on impact

Im hoping 1/8 scale rally catches not wr8 size but kyosho demon size

Has anyone received there WR8 Flux yet? Very surprised to not hear any out come of this car.

calling all Rally Guy's :ror:

So got the chance to pull a Nitro WR8 out of the box at my local hobby shop.-Ty

Turtle, since you're the only person who's actually seen one (that I know of anyway), any chance of getting a size measurement on those wheels/tires? Rough guesstimate would be fine. From what I am reading, this is very close to the older SNR chassis...body looks like a perfect fit - thankfully, since new SNR bodies are hideously expensive - but the wheels look to be a bit bigger to me though.

My old SNR is desperately in need of some new shoes! It has slicks on it at the moment, which is a sin.

EDIT: Ha, nevermind, Tower's got it covered.

Tires: Scale Michelin Tarmac Rally, 1.4" (35mm) wide, 3.1" (80mm) diameter
Wheels: White plastic 1.4" (35mm) wide, 2.2" (56mm) diameter, 12mm hex size

These are exactly the same size as the SNR except the tire is ever so slightly taller...we have a winner!

Just as a follow-up, I was digging around on Tower hoping that some of the WR8 stuff was in stock. Most of it is not yet, but I found the SNR wheels and tires are suprisingly still available. Wheels are the same size as the WR8 (35x56mm) and just ordered a set of the black mesh rims. The SNR tires are a bit smaller than the WR8 - 74mm vs 80mm OD.

80-82mm OD is standard 2wd rear buggy size, so any rear 1/10 buggy tire should fit the WR8 - always nice to have options. I ordered a set of AKA Rebars for the time being as they were one of the few that looked somewhat like rally tires. Curious to see how they hold up on a 4WD car.

I know HPI told me the Nitro tire will be in stock in two week. It would be cool to have something aggressive.

Hey sally you sound HAWT! How 'bout you take me for a ride in your new wheels?

LMAO, shit your killing me Badge.:lmao:

Anyways
So, I emailed Corey at RPP to get in on the HPi WR8 Flux Block car.
The last Rally type car I had was the Kyosho Pure10 EP kit and I loved that tough car. Had a Subie body on it.

The question is, am I wrong for buying the EP car?
With you guys talking about Nitro, I hated the constant tuning of a Nitro engine.
So wondering if things have changed lately with them.

Oh no get the Brushless. The only reason the nitro was brought up at all is because no one was sure a brushless was even coming at first. Now that the brushless is here it is the only way to go. Nitro to me and many people is not and will never be worth the hassle.

Heck ya I was running 3s last night. Stock motor is pretty fast.

How about you sign on line for a Dirt 2 challenge where you have no control?
What are you suggesting exactly? I've never participated in any femdom shit before but I'm always open to try new things.
