I Hobby Comp info...

I believe the question has been brought up earlier, But can out of state participants enter?? You mentioned something about a "Badge"

How would one go about getting a "Badge"??

Please let me know, I'd be very interested in attending.

Thanks, Jesse

I can still get exhibitor badges if I do some work... I need your real name in order to get the badge. There is no fee for it. We already have people coming from a few states...

So if a person has a exhibitor badges they then can compete?

I here of a few people coming to I-Hobby that are not on the list.

There are a few people coming that arent on this list.... once I submitted the list I stopped updating the thread. I do need at least a heads up of anyone coming that isnt on the list (that has an exhibitor badge) so I can make sure to have enough supplies (score cards etc) also, that way I can adjust our schedule if needed.

info to date:

All trucks/equipment must come in via door 6a/b which is behind the building

3 judges have volunteered for Saturday:
Wojin
BillyGoat
Thumbman

1 more is still needed

1 person has volunteered to work the club recruiting booth:
Dave K

would be nice to have at least 1 more.

I have appointed 1 person to course entry control:
Kasper (I hope I already told him)

Announcer Duty (really only needed Saturday)
Ced volunteered

We are going to try to stick to the show schedule as close as possible

9:30 driver sign in
10-10:15 drivers meeting
10:30-12:30 2.2 comp
1-2 scale trail run
2:30-4 2.2 comp
4:15 on Saturday will be awards
4-5 Sunday will be scalers

We have the official schedule showing scalers 4-5 on both days. I may ask that while we are doing awards, a couple people play around on the course.

We still need someone to drive the Bully truck all days of the show (you must fit an XL t-shirt). On the Comp days, you will drive your truck thru the course and then you will drive again with the demo truck (demo time doesn't count for points). And yes you can substitute the Demo truck for yours if you feel the demo truck is better.

Keep in mind, this is more of a demo than an actual comp. There will be prizes and hopefully ALLOT of prizes but, they will be door prizes to thank everyone for coming.

If ANYONE is available on Monday after the show and has a vehicle that can haul pieces, it looks like we will be short on transport for getting the stuff back home. Please HELP!!!

I almost forgot... DSM radio's please!!! Even air radio's may cause issues if they aren't DSM. If all you have is a freq radio we will try to work something out. And AVOID traxxas radios at ALL cost as they will be running all day every day.

One thing going for us there is you know traxxas is going to be running their new 2.4 radios!

I just got my HobbyTown pass today! Also discovered I'd screwed up and asked for Friday off instead of Saturday, luckily I got that fixed before Sharon had much of a chance to make the schedule for that week! I'll try to get anothe 2.4 Rx for my Axial, but my Losi will be on my 75 FM 3PDF, I can't afford a new radio right now since I need to get tires for the Jeep before winter gets bad.

Since Kasper will be there all 4 days he gets first chance... If he decides last min not to drive it I will go down the list.

And just because you drive it, doesnt mean you win it

Just drive it like you stole it!

I will drive it like a blind guy drives thats even gooder then stealing it you know my eye sight is about 15 yards before my depth runs out looking forward to a great weekend.

The only channels other than DSM that you could use would be:
AM & FM 61, 81, 83, & 86, and ch. 6 (Blue) for 27 MHz AM. These are also being used by the pullers and monster truck racers so your chances of finding one not being used are slim.
Frequencies are in short supply and have to be reserved well ahead of time for these shows. If someone is found to be using a channel that someone else reserved, it does not go over well with the show management.

If you only have 1 DSM, you may want to swap the reciever back & forth as you change trucks.

Im going to work on having a dsm loaner radio... I have a 2 chnl and 3 chnl Ill bring to loan.
