Insane 370 motor swap..anybody?

put the mini slider m0t0r in the mrc and i d0nt see where u need any m0re wheel speed 0r t0rque in the mrc u can pick the fr0nt end 0ff the gr0und with it...

thats a option but I allready have 2 insane 370's but I have to drill out the motor plate to install and I'd like a second opion before I pass that point of no return. thanks anyway!

I found a couple of videos. It's not my MRC, but someone who had sold it on another site. The add says nothing about an aftermarket ESC, only the insane motor and a "custom battery pack".

i have a 370 motor in mine from a stock associated 18MT. i had to drill out the motor plate but the pinion fit perfect. It is really fast now and has just as much low end control. Also the motor was timed for a flipped trans.
I like it butI am definitely a throttle guy, it's probably 30-40% faster than stock

I have a mrc and have been crawling around in stock form for about a week now. I've just started ordering upgrades (that i can find in stock)
I ordered the mini slider motor and was wondering what size pinion I need for the proper gear ratio. Thanks

I put the frenzy motor from my mini raminator in to my L-trailed MRC and it has good wheel speed and good low end. I swaped it because it need to have the wheel speed to go mudding and climb loose hill climbs and such. Had the tires covered in thick mud and the motor didnt seem strained at all.
Hey, does anyone have the Venom Mini fireball motor? I seen this and had to order one. http://shop.vendio.com/valuebuybatteries/item/854560405/ The shipping has been slow so I dont have it yet. I was wondering how it performs.

I had one in my Rc18T and burned it up the first battery pack.:roll:
thats why its called the fireball...
I come from a huge micro-rc background and that motor is def one to avoid.

yeah I ordred the blue aluminum motor plate for my mrc and soon after got an insane 370 motor and it was hella fast id say 2X faster but the stock esc was makeing all kinds of whiney noises that it dident make before I messaged losi and they dident recommend it cause the motor puts out way way more rpms and i might end up frying the esc
I dident have to do any drilling with that motor plate

I also have a losi Mini Monster Baja ( MLST2 ) and I run 2 insane370's on it. that's why I had them.

Just jump it!
My HH is almost double what it was stock.With a 2c lipo, it flips in reverse(due to weight) and pulls the wheels up forward.

Yeah i have the insane 370 also, but no esc for it. the esc on the mcr cant handle the rpms of the 370. even though i dont need all that power, im gunna try it. just need a better esc now.

Another update. If you go with the mini slider motor you either have to drill out the pinion or dremel the splines off the motor shaft.
Also, The motor shaft is short on the slider motor, so you have to flip the pinion. but to get the pinion to line up correctly you need to add longer motor screws and 3-4mm spacers between the motor and the mounting plate.
The motor is almost too fast. I was drifting my mrc on my tile floor today to give you an idea lol. The down side is that your run time is much lower than stock. I don't know how many minutes but its def. lower
