I'm putting together a chevy 350 for my pickup truck, and I am probably going to put an aftermarket intake manifold on it. My question is, I have two options, the edelbrock performer and the weiand action plus, which one should I get? I've used the edelbrock before and liked it, and the price is about the same for the weiand. Anyone here have any actual experience comparing these?
If it helps any, here are some specs:
86 3/4 ton 4x4
4.10 gears
stock heads
stock pistons
some kind of fairly mild RV cam (undecided so far)
TH400 w/stock converter.
Q-jet
2.5" dual exhaust, no cats
Basically looking for usable low to mid range torque and reasonable power. Not probably ever going to spin faster than 4500 RPM.
Thanks in advance
