i love the airtronics 359z's. and airtronics customer support is hard to beat. you will pay more up front, but you will have less down time due to fried servos.

Why?, it's not going to fix any of my problems. A new mount won't stop the case from spliting right down the middle, or gears the from stripping.
Don't know though, maybe I will try the Towerpro's, I mean I have more then a few trucks that are in need of servos.

Seem to support the servos better.
I haven't broke an ear off one since installing them.
As for the Tower Pros, I haven't had a single issue w/ them.
Seem to meet all 8 of your desires.
You would have to order several to meet #4 though.

The hitec 5995 servos are a robotics servo but I have been running them for a while now and they are buy far the strongest most durable servos
I have ever ran. They have titanium gears, and if hooked up to enough power (7.2v) they are capable of 444oz of torque. They cost around 125 each.

Dez linked me up to the Tower Pro's and so far I've purchased 6 of them and haven't had any problems so far.
I've actually found a bunch on ebay that sell them 2 at a time and spent $30 total w/shipping for both. (why I purchased so many)

They really seem to be a good servo. And for the price, you can afford to have extras in your field box.

Well you guys talked me into it, ended up ordering two from Ebay.

The torque is higher then any servo I have owned thus far, I hope it's enough.
In the spec chart it looks as though I can volt them up to a 7.2 stick pack. How would I go about wiring it up? Y harness to the rear servo and reciever, then just let the front servo feed off the reciever?
Also would there be a great difference in power if I used a separate pack vs the main pack? I like having only one pack as the rocks are few and far between in the midwest. I have to walk down long paths far from a charger, only having to have to carry, charge, change one pack would be nice.
Once I get them, I'll let you know my response after a few rough bashings.

My servo mount should be more then sturdy. I've never broken a servo ear off yet this far into it.
As you can see it's bolted solid to the axle, it does not move at all. I almost always have a big ziptie wrapped around the servo. I use it just to support the servo better then ears. Actually, I don't know why there isn't one in the pic. It's just a old pic, I'm not running savers anymore either.

Found a really old pic of my previous thin metal mount. At least it shows the zip tie better.

A buddy and I just got the tower pros front and rear on both our rigs, It turns my narrowed maxx mashers like they arent there, and can turn his moab xls pretty good, esspecially for being a tube chassis, dual batterie, dual motor pig of a crawler.

One stripped the main output gear the other has the wiggles and can't find center. I really did like the amount of servo output 200oz. It was a good amount.
Rather then waste money with cheap junk that will break and need to be replaced. I've decided I'm going to get some high grade servos.
Right now I'm got my eye on the Airtronics 94359Z as it is the only servo that I have seen nothing but a 100% satisfaction with here on the board.
On second thought I am considering that hitec 5995 as it has near double the torque at the same price.

You've probably read it before, but I LOVE my 359s. I've been running them in all my larger rigs and have not had a drivetrain failure. I did break two of the ears off the case but that's not a huge problem. $5 fix. Don't bother with the 358s, they have a single plastic gear in them, I've blown them so often I call it a fuse. :lol:
