It's a little late since I had already ordered the parts to complete the front axle. Either way, it will still be better than the stock AX10 axle. But, I will start looking into your suggestion with the AR60. Although I would want to narrow them as much as I can because I don't like them sticking out too much.

XR Mod axles are as wide as stock WK axles. I've had them all under my orange Jerp at one time. ( WKs, AX-10s, XR modded AX-10s and now narrowed AR-60s.) The XR mod axles are plenty strong and give decent steering and they keep the tires about 1/2 of the way inside of the body.

I just made the narrowed AR 60's purely for scale appearance and in my opinion, they still don't look all that great. Nomadpsd has nailed the scale look axle!

Those axles he has are so amazing!
I'll put together the XR mod after the parts arrive and used that for a while. I do like the AR60 being offset pumpkin and might build a front set to try out and swap into sometimes. I have most of the parts to complete a stock AR60.

I tried looking for tutorial or instructions how to narrow the AR60 but has been unsuccessful.
Do you have any tips by any chance?

There are a few different threads floating around on this site about different ways to narrow the AR60. I'll have to look to see if I have any pics of the actual fabrication of my axles. I used a lathe to make a pocket in the diffy and a step on the axle tube then used a body shop grade plastic repair adhesive to bond the parts together. The long side axle shafts had to be shortened, I used a mill to put new 'flats' on the shaft. Then I had to make a new upper truss mount to compensate for the narrower width. Lots of work involved. "thumbsup"
 
I got my internal spring shocks in

Mine have more steering than I can use. They rub on the lower links. I am using the RC4WD D44 knuckles and C's. They have the 8 degree angle just like the AR60's and the steering is comparable.
 
Like Nomadpsd said, it's more angle that is even needed. I'm very happy with the axles and setup of the steering right now.

Have set to positive caster which helps steering angles as well.
Sorry about the pic angles seems like the tires are uneven at full lock but you can see from top view, the angles are very close

You got me thinking about steering throw myself. Even though I'm running AR60's, seems pretty close to yours. The extra width might give me a bit more, I have to set my end points down a bit or my universals will start to bind up. If you don't want pics of my Willy's here let me know and I'll delete them. It is your build thread after all.

No worries, buddy. I welcome the pics as I'm sure it will help others as well. Plus, it give me reference points as I want to build a narrowed AR60 in the future. Thanks for sharing your pics here.

Regarding the axle width. There is a compromise, like with so many other things. A narrow axle keeps the tires tucked in and looks more scale. A wide axle looks less scale, but provides great turning radius.

But that depends on the Jeep. My early '60's -'70's Hasbro Jeep, (the original), is a wider body, and looks better with the wraith axles, more stable.
