my daddy...

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in the same exact manner. However, he wasnt diagnosed until it was already a stage 4 and was given a month to live. I pray for you and your family.

I'm so sorry to hear of your Father passing Jess. Sending you my love and thoughts during this difficult time.

Wish I could give you a big ole hug....acutally Jake...please do me a favor and hug Jess for me. Thanks

Sorry for your loss Jess. Met him a few times. A Great man. He always seemed in good spirits. Be it watching his rig go up in flames, or laughing at me when the omelette I ordered all of sudden had chili on it.

I am sorry for your loss and we are in the same boat. I lost my dad a year and a month ago to colon cancer.

He too fought hard for a couple years but the chemo started acting badly on his body so he stopped. The shitty part was he was hoping to have 4-6 months after stopping to finish up things he wanted to do but we lost him in less than a month.

We too were with him when he left us....

Again I am sorry Del Monte....

Jake gave me a very awkward hug, and said it was from you, lol. I hadn't read this yet, I'm laughing harder now that I have.

Same with my dad, the chemo was doing more harm than good, so they were planning on stopping it in May-- they said he should have a few good months before he really started going downhill and we had an Alaskan cruise booked for June... but I guess the lung cancer decided to change our plans...
I remember reading your threads here and on Pirate about your dad and crying because I knew that we were facing the same thing.

Sorry to here Jess. If you are a reflection of him he was an awesome guy"thumbsup"

he was an amazing man... I can only hope some of it rubbed off and I'll live in a way that will make him proud.

Thanks again for the support and kind words everyone...

Man that's gotta be tough, sorry for your loss. Just by reading up to this point it looks like you had a great dad.

Sorry to hear Jess, if you're anything like your dad you had a great one. My prayers are with your family. Stay strong, as you said he is prob wheelin some awesome trails right about now.

Here's a pic from right before his Losi caught fire at AWCC :ror:

Even as he was watching his Losi go up in flames, he still had a smile on his face

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jess & Jake. I too think your dad will make an excellent spotter, Jess!

Im sorry Jess and Jake. Its good to hear however that he wasnt in pain, and was at peace in the end. Losing loved ones sucks. Some have no warning. Its great that he got to go with you guys at his side. That probably made him the happiest man.

I was talking to Jake the other day and he mentioned it. So you guys have been in my thoughts since.
