Use lexan to make trays to mount to the top 4 link for your esc and reciever, lower the better, and thats about as low as you can get.

I kept trying a few suspension alternatives and this one seems to work out...
I also relocated the upper link (tilted axle)

Shocks more vertical, LIPO will be mounted on top of the servo with Velcro.
Cables will be routed along 1 of the top links.

The ESC will be mounted upside-down on a plastic sheet.

Yes I added a Tamiya connector to the motor-cables

Tech-side, EURGLE 3ch RX and the micro servo?

All fits on the inside of the frame - but I will add a piece of acrylic/plexi to add some safety in case of boulders or similar want to attack this side.

LIPO connectors - had to redo this 2 times as the cabling was short and 1 BEC connector failed

All cabling will be spiral wrapped to tidy things up

I'm trying to make the creeper a bit better - but as is right now I destroyed a servo so I'll have to order a new one...

Converted to front steering only...

My creeper has better ground clearance that I hope will make it crawl better, I have to compare to a few rocks to see if it can take on those.

I got my dad one for Xmas, he is HOOKED. Im planning to get one too. He is wanting to make his own chassis plates so we are trying to look and read to see what a good design would be.

No - you didn't miss it - its my secret mod

As my TX has 3 channels - but 3rd is only on/off (well - I can trim it of course) soI'm trying to use it for something to my crawler...

In this case it is simply turning the rear steer on or off

on = rear and front are both active
off = rear stays in current position and front is on

Not fully tested yet - but it seems to work pretty well... and it is built from parts lying around.

If it turns out really good I might purchase an electronic switch that does the same - or combine it with something that can reverse the servo at will

A servo reverser would be handy...I tried to mod 1 servo and now its busted...only goes in 1 direction(changed pot and changed motor)

My LOSI arms arrived yesterday - I got the carbon editions....I think they shipped the wrong ones coz i ordered alloys

I have to relocate the shocks to stock positions or "stage2 stylee" at the lower links

(looking at CKRCBTA-mod) atm....expensive pieces that is...

how far out from the top forward hole are your fwd shocks mounted? i did pretty much the same thing as you and since then i notice that its considerably easier to roll over. the only other major difference between this and the ckrc stage II that before I had a nicd over the front servo and now have a lipo.

I only testmounted the LOSI arms

front is mounted vertical and rear is mounted horisontal to the sideplates

I still have to undo the BTAmod and relocate the shocks - I will post pics later...

I have been testing a few things...BTA gone - rear steer gone...

I got my carbon LOSI arms mounted...bling

The ESC is still mounted on the old config and secured by a rubberband
the rideheight as is here is with the shocks mounted in the stock holes and 70mm links is used, mounted in the rearmost stock hole (not the Stage2 holes)

Shocks are mounted on the outside of the LOSI arms so it is almost vertically when viewed from front/rear
No problems so far - but I think I need more suspension so I have to tilt the shocks inward ie mount shocks on inside of LOSI arms

And then came trouble...

The angle of the shocks made the top cap break loose stripping all threads (like there were anything to break to begin with)
To solve this I had to mount the shocks "right side up" ie not inverted as the top cap break off when it hit the brackets for the lower arm...

2 busted damper bodies at the same time - i feel happy now...have to order alloy damper bodies...

This is the setup at the front end...gues wich part is broken...correct the left damper (bottom in this pic)

It is the stock 6mm spacers and stock alloy rod in between - and stock screws(i think) to hold them in place...

The carbon LOSI arms are 3mm thick so it all ends up 2mm wider than the actual sideplates are actually mounted (had to bend them out just 1mm on each side)

Until new parts arrive...CU (expect 2-3 weeks to sweden)

I did the exact same thing to my creeper last week except the top links and I polished my outer bead locks !!! Nice rig I thought I was the only one with that idea lol guess not !! good job I just joined today !!
