Axial fest was alot of fun the place is.huge and there were so many trails and so many people i dident even get to all the trails and for as many people there were there the trails werent crowded at all the proline by the fire was also fun but it was very small i ran all the trails in 4 hours and there wasent that much going on horsmans park is tiny and can in no way suport axial fest and there just isent enuff to keep that many people entertained i.dont think horsemans park is a good spot for axial fest i think the ciuger buttes would be fun but dosent have the amenities needed for the event i have no idea were a good spot would be but there has to be another spot somewere in the sierras

I don't know what sort of infrastructure there is around Moab, UT. but I'm intrigued by the area. I know there is a LOT of play ground for 1:1 off roaders, just not sure what is there for scale RC off roaders. I hope to visit the area someday.

Here's an idea. It would seem logical to me that virtually any ski resort would be interested in hosting a large spring or summer RC fest if for no other reason than to simply generate off season income. All ski resorts I have ever been to have mountains and all are setup to host large numbers of guests. I would think any ski resort would jump at the chance to host a large event like Axialfest in their off season.

Moab is amazing for RC's as much as 1:1. Ive been taking rc's there year after year for EJS since early 2000's. The lines are endless and coming from the NW the traction is insane. You could setup a massive "RC Park" on just about any trail. That would be a cool AXFEST just because of location and wheeling history there..... I vote Pritchett Canyon

My pennies

I have been wanting to go to one these. I would like one that's a bit closer tho, that is a long trip.

This is the best idea ive herd yet the problem is most ski resorts out here lease the land from the national forest so the permiting would be a insane process there are a few privatly owned resorts though some are covered in snow all year and the sierras are a big mountain range so lots of places to choose from the biggest issue i see is the camping it would be like lot camping or hike out to a flat group area next would be charging your rigs ive gone to music festivals at some of the private resorts and the camping plain sucks

While it’s hard to beat the vast variety of Utah terrain.

I vote this place for a couple reasons.

1. Its very centerally located in The US. (Just outside of Cheyenne Wyo.) And very Popular recreation for hand climbing and hiking.
2. As big or Bigger than Cisco Grove
3. Has plenty of camping.
4. I’ve crawled all over the nation and this place is by far the funnest and most variety of terrain. Has almost 10,000 acres of super sticky rock as well.

Ski resorts have rules and regulations to follow. So it also take permission from the forest service as well. I hear alot of talk for moab. It would be a great place for axial fest. The whole town is set up for tourists already. Hotels, campgrounds, restaurants, etc.

Moab get extremely hot in the summer, so it would have to be spring or fall time. There is pracatly no shade at all down there. And also at a time when there is not other events in town. But I love the whole idea of it being somewhere in the mountains where its cooler and lots of shade.

It will be some time before I can attend this event and hope it continues for many years till I can go. Just to many things going on for me at the present time. But very curious where it ends up.
