Pretty sure Jeep bought axial. If that answers the jeep body shell abundance.
Nope.
Axial is owned by Hobbico who owns Great Planes and Tower Hobbies.

Everyone keeps coming back to them using the same body over and over. Personally I don't give half a flying fawk if they use the exact same body in the exact same color with the exact same accessories so long as they will come out with a new chassis or more importantly new axles. Something like an AR60 with a centered diff with 1/8 scale buggy universal shafts would rock.
Well, since the Wrangler is going IS in 2016 maybe we'll get a Jeep bodied EXO.
I don't think its too much of a stretch that they use the exo platform for a 4x4 shortcourse truck and break into the racing scene? And of course use their sponsored driver Casey Curries JEEP truck?

Nope, unfortunately, it is true. It'll be IFS front and rear for the new 2016 Jeep Wrangler models. The company indirectly said that they will be using the same components/ design as the new Cherokee and Grand Cherokee.
They did comment on AutoBlog that they are engineering it to perform as good or better than SA. Highly doubtful.
Jeep is officially ruined now. Thanks Fiat.

Last I heard this was not true. It was posted that they were going with lightweight tech to be able to retain the SA.
