New Axial "working on something fast"

Scale Ultra4?

1/1 truck rides 140cm tall tires and 22" rims?

As mentioned above, you have to be able to realize that just because the class of RC is labeled as 1:10 it doesn't mean that's what the vehicle models scale out to. Being that 40" tires are not uncommon in Ultra4, the tire height and wheel size is not out of proportion. The one thing that is significantly different is the width however.

Shorter A-arms for a 1.9 conversion would be nice but I'm sure someone will figure out something with some existing parts.

Been reading this thread all day, closing and opening so my boss wouldn't see ;). I was just thinking the other day how cool it would be to build an utra4 rig from scratch. That will be put on hold while we all await the full specs and videos of what this thing is really capable of.

This is almost more exciting than anticipating a new Apple product release. . .

Ok maybe more exciting :)

Alt + Tab...... ;-) lol

not sure if you have seen this, it was just put on my FB wall.

NICE!

Looks like a sway bar. Someone mentioned stock sway bars.

Yes, swaybar if you read and look closely. "thumbsup"

All things said and done I think Axial actually paid attention to the wants of their buyers. No jeep, no re body of the scx10, but a new rig on a new platform using the tha ar60 axle and ifs front.
I want one bad now! To bad I have to save for it even after it hits the shelves. (Disabled vet budget). But dang its awesome!

On another note. It would be easy to bring out a live axle rear trophy truck on this platform. How sweet would that be?

After seeing a few pics and chassis shots, cancelled my back order. Nice design Axial, but really looking for a kit. (Building it is 1/2 the fun! You guys are one of the few left in town still offering kits - don't bail on us now!!!) Don't need the radio or BL system, would rather have some chassis/suspension upgrades in the box instead. Patiently waiting, have the entire Axial product line to keep me busy in the meantime.

I know a lot of people complain about various bodies coming out on the same platform as "going Traxxas" - I think that's BS. I do think however that going from builders kits to RTR only WOULD be "going Traxxas."

I've noticed in the picture on page 5 that the lower links in the back aren't triangulated. Won't that cause some side to side play?

Thank you for your service.

If you looked at the truck from underneath you would see all 4 links making an "M" shape (or "W", depending on how you hold the truck, lol). That configuration allows the links to act as a truss when the wheels see a sideways force (like when cornering). It's that truss shape that allows the links to react the applied lateral load as an axial (no pun intended) load (i.e. tension or compression) in each of the links.

I'm trying also to find out the sizes so keep it posted if u do. I'm kinda bumbed u gotta buy diff size for front and back. Really limits wheels

Not really there is a lot of wheels that use vanquish offset.

But if you think about it vanquish has the most options in wheels. I have owned tons and loved every pair.

Light weight strong and very cool looks.
