Not 100% sure but I think either the NTT reaches(5.25 inch+- ) or the new VP foam set up kit has a tall one too, (5.25in and mabe 5.5in too)"thumbsup"

I saw these tires in action yesterday at a practice comp, They were hooking up pretty good. Even on sandy like surfaces. If only the driver knew how to drive his truck. LOL I may try them if they are ever available.

Your an Idiot.

Great tire Losi, I love it. Cant wait to comp with it on Saturday.. All around great tire!

I am using NWTT Hybrid reaches up front and Carver stock in the rears. Works great for me. I might ad a bit more up front for the sides as they seem to fold easier than before. Other than that no complaints on foam.

Just an update for you guys. Ran the Comp Claws last night in our weekly comp. These tires were pulling lines that others were struggling with just a bit. Definitely hooked up well on everything. Got me my first win in a while. Looks to be a great tire. By the way, I am running Panther F400 foams all the way around, with just a slight trim on all the corners. Good tire!"thumbsup"

Well after about a week of testing.... Comp Claws are gonna remain as a secondary tire for me. I think ive just about got em dialed in and today I switched back to my (dialed in) Rovers and they simply out perform the Claws on the rock I run on. The only real advantage that I can give the Claw is that its a little shorter and might help my CG in certain situations. A couple of our comp locations have an abundance of traction and little need for the extra height. So I think the Comp Claw will be my tire of choice a couple of times a year. It never hurts to have options.. Maybe with some more run time the Claws will get better..

Ha Ha Ha, Idiot. Ran some comp claws at a comp site and Wow. I was running some rovers that I thought were hooking up. I tried a steep climb and the rovers were hoping up the climb and eventually made it. I switched up tires with a buddy who was running the comp claws and walked right up the climb. I went straight to the Hobby store and picked some up. They are a definite A in my book. Great job losi.

I ran a set yesterday in MN at our comp spot. They were ok....not great. They seemed to lack a little forward bite compared to my white Rovers. They were very consistent and predictable. I would sit and spin on some steeper climbs where my Rovers would grab and make me want to flip. I think I will try them on my GC2 and would like them more than on my Berg.

Has anyone tried the Crwlr1 foams in the Comps yet? I'm thinking firm inner/soft outer combo in back, medium inner/soft outer up front.

My only concern is that after watching Kamikaze's vid with the Panthers and seeing the increase in height, the Crawlr1 foams will raise the CG too high with the Comp Claws.

You could always cut them down a little.

Hey Casey what foams were you running in those tires if you don't mind saying I've got the stock foams in both Rovers and Comp Claws?

Great new tire. I picked up a set after work last nite and it was raining when I got home so I took my truck out back with my White Rovers on and crawled around some of my wet rock before I swaped out to the new Losi's. I took the losi's out back tonite and I could get up my back step better than with my rovers and I never could with my Rock Claws. The rock claws just were never tall enough and the rovers were tall but I needed some kore wheel speed than with the comp claws. On my wet rock tonite I have a steep slab that I always get a run with my Rovers and I just crawled right up with my comp claws and side hill was way way better with my new claws. Some of this is due to what I would call just the right tire hight. The rovers really were herting me on roll overs and side hilling but I liked the clearance. The new claws would take me anywere my rovers would and more tonite. So far a great tire. I'm going to take them out to my new spot that I was not digging the Rovers last week and test out the new comp claws.

Hey Norm,
Stock foams in the Rovers. Yeah they fold over, but they hold their line. Joe and I were running back to back and then switched tires/rims (both VP rims). The Comp Claws had stock foams front and Axial foams in the back. I think they need a slightly softer foam, considering it was cool. I started running them at about 5 p.m. until about 6:45 p.m. The sun was going down and it was about 45 or so.

Some of this is due to what I would call just the right tire height. The rovers really were hurting me on roll overs and side hilling but I liked the clearance.
That's exactly how I feel(the right height). I've borrowed my buddy's Rovers twice now to try on my rig, after watching him drive. They work great.......for his rig(inside joke for Pat:ror:)....but my rig doesn't like them. They raise my CG just enough that it throws everything out of whack. I even lowered mine down trying to compensate(which is what Pat did on his), but in doing so, it changed my geometry enough that I wasn't happy with it. It works for him, but not for me. So, I'll just stick with my shorter tires for now thanks."thumbsup"

Casey, I don't know what the stock Comp Claw foams feel like, but I do know my Comp Claws like a softer foam.
