New SSD Diamond Pro Axles

They are already out. Assembly required.

I know. Wouldn't mind piecing them together either, building is more than half the fun of this hobby Just hoping for a little nicer pricetag. Excellent for scratch builds or OG upgrade.

Just have the CVDs left to make before we can start packing complete axles...

We already releaseed an OG upgrade kit: Pro44 CMS & Titanium Link Set / V2 Conversion for SCX10

Do you guys have plans for some for HPI Venture based rigs?

Yes we will be making some Venture parts in the coming months.

SSD, any updates on different tube lengths/options?

Working on offset tubes now. But there isn't a lot of room to play with really.

I am still new to many aspects of this hobby and have not yet built anything with axle widths different than stock. I am now starting a project that I would like to put XR width axles under. Will what you are talking about be XR width? More? less?

I understand that you can't give a date; but, are we looking at weeks or months for a release?

Keep up the great work with solid desirable products.

i'm really digging the way these axels look.

I hope this wasn't asked before, but une question before i purchase a set... whats the difference between the Diamond and the Pro44, aside from the aesthetics, is there a benefit to running any of the two?

been running my diamond pros for a couple months now and i love them! however, on the front axle, the axle tubes at the short m3x5 bolts that connect the them to the diff housing have stripped. i just noticed tonight that a couple of them were backed off pretty far, so i pulled them out to reapply blue loctite and found that the threads from the axle housings came with them. not sure what caused that, but i think it should hold together for a while. i was thinking about getting lockoutless rear tubes for the rear housing before, maybe i'll pick some up now and move the rear housings to the front.

SSD should check into this and maybe send you a new one.

Locktite into plastic is a bad idea. It tends to soften the plastic, causing stripped screws.

I've been running a set of these on an SCX10ii with the Deadloc Racing counter rotating transfer case (TNT). I flipped the front axle 3rd member to achieve opposite rotation and had to do a bit of shimming on the gears to get a smooth rotation. You need to flip one axle, I chose the front for my setup.

So far, this has been great and very little torque twist. I love this setup and these axles!!

I have not had any screws back out yet, but I will keep an eye on these. I used thread lock on initial assembly. I do not bash or abuse the rig (just scale trails), that also may be a factor.

I spoke with him on this a few days ago. He said yes but it would put the output on the bottom. ...

If you flipped the bevel gear, How come output pinion gear on the bottom? On my AR60 axle I just need to flip the ring gear and it is all done. Can you post me a picture? And explain me in detail? Thank you

P/S: I would like to use this Dimond pro axle on my SCX10 II with CheezBurger Transmission

There are 2 local guys running these axles with the DLUX Cheezburger trans and it works out great to help reduce torque twist.. But you do end up with rear diff output on the bottom(no longer high pinion) but they remedy that with longer rear upper links to rotate the pinion angle up.

I’ve been very very pleased with these axles. Great product!

I would like to try a set as I am building another set of ar44's. My question is which to choose, these or the pro 44's. My concern is like others, how well does the plastic centers hold up to rock abuse. At least with the pro 44's you sell an optional alloy diff covers that help with rock rash, strength, and maintenance access. In the future my suggestion would be offer a diamond diff armor OH AND WRAITH/BOMBER LENGHT TUBES.

Got one for the 12.3 wheelbase too?

EDIT: What wheelbase do i end up with on this kit?
Says its for 305 wheelbase, so im kinda confused if the wheelbase will be 12 or 12.3. Since all scx2 are 12.3 and all.

Brother...... CMS/panhard doesn't effect wheelbase. You can run the same kit on any wheelbase rig......
