led's don't take much power. I'd run them off the rx or the bec.
I got a new decal guy.. I'm happy with what I'm getting. Especially for half the price. I placed a big order so, I'm gonna make it rain at ECSC!
Vernon Hills day's just started it is about 1/2 mile from my house if that. Great Firework display tonight that I got to enjoy right from my back yard and will be going to the Blues Travelers with John Popper and special guests concert on Sat. night. Let the GOOD times roll.
So for those of us running GripFab parts, do we get small decals to put on our trucks?!
are you coming Sunday?
Now my tech question.. I never had led lights that weren't powered by a 9v battery. So, now that I have a couple led light bars that operate in 11.1v, how should I power them?
My current setup, I'm able to run a 3300mah 3s battery to power the truck and I was thinking about powering the lights separate on a 1300mah 3s battery because I have room for it. I have micro deans for the lights.. Should I just "Y" both my lights into one big deans and then simply plug them into the 1300mah to turn them on & off? It sounds simple, is it that simple?
I've heard that the VP light bars are too dim on 7.4. I run mine on a deans plug that I simply plug between the battery and ESC when I want it on. Like this:

Most of the time it's not connected and just taped up inside the body but when it is, it's running on 11.1 with no BEC or anything. It was designed for that. It was definitely the brightest light bar at the G6 night run.
