ARGH!!! That is so wrong!!1

Man I'm a brazing fool. All I got is nubs for brazing rod left! Did that stop me? Did the fact I was brazing nuts onto an already brazed joint stop me? NO!! Bahahahaha.

Jason, I'm going to wp my Pro4 tonight, what do I need to coat and what should I not coat?

take off both red ends.
remove 3 button head screws holding sensor onto can.
pull out sensor.

tape the bearing and tape/plug the hole on the back of the sensor that the end of the rotor fits into.

tape off the sensor port, and if you have dielectric grease put some inside the sensor port prior to make sure no conformal seeps into it.

the 3 tapped holes for the red end cap i plug with little peices of a q-tip.

i tape off the areas that mount to the can as well so the conformal doesnt end up making the sensor sit a little lopsided. but i didnt do that on timmy and it hasnt been an issue.

then just spray coats over the front and rear circuit boards.
on the non bearing side of the sensor there is a slot in the mounting ring on the backside of the sensor port. you will see some solder points back there, i make sure to spray in there as well.

couple light coats. then i spray coats on so thick they drip off...

repeat until you think youre good. i prolly do mine overkill but i always do at least 5 good coats until i can tell there is a good layer of conformal.

edit - i also rtv the sensor port cap back on.

edit edit - i also pull the rotor out through the sensor side and spray corrosion-x in the motor windings. i spray alot and let it sit overnight on its end on some paper towels to drain off the excess.

Wow, thanks Jason. A full write up on it... This should help me a lot. Looks like I need to get some CorrosionX, I should have everything else I need.

Thanks again!

I'm gettin' some dunkin' donuts and then I have all day to play with my truck to get it ready for GTG tomorrow. Everyone stand by for tech questions ;-)

I have the maddog winch spool & some synthetic line. Whats the best way to tie the line to the spool. If I remember correctly, there is two small holes in the spool. Hmm.. It's like a puzzle for children that I can't figure out. Hey! I haven't had coffee yet!

I think a knot in the line on the inside of the spool.
Then it threads out of spool and back into the spool.

Swezy, come up to Chicago tomorrow!

I have the winch line that comes with the maddog 3racing winch upgrade kit if you need it.

I have this mystery line that I found on the shelf.. Don't remember where it came from but, I'm thinking lockedup. This is what im gonna use.

John it looks like you have the fender tucked under the bed covering the inside tire maybe bring it out to cover outside tire and install short mud flaps.

can't as is, they are mounted to the chassis.
I'm not sure the bed is thick enough to mount them to it... unless I have bolts going through it.

Does this look like it'll work?

I have the heyok winch controller plugged inline on the battery and then the lights plugged inline as well like Trey showed us.
