I'm trying to keep my stable down and really narrow down the trucks I have. I didn't care too much for the sportsman as compared to the moa comp rigs, and I don't really want to be out in the woods/water/mud with the comp. thanks for the input guys.

Can't use a MoA anyways in scale comp. :)

I got some work done on the clod body I picked up and destroyed from Trey (sorry Trey)
I cut out the old hood and made a new one. Also the rear bed is seperated. All in all, I deleted 1 inch from front left headlight to front right headlight. I may do the same for the bed later on.
Im no professional but I think it is shaping up into a pretty good first try.

I made the hood out of styrene which I then fiber-glassed over and then used bondo. I am doing the same with the areas where you see epoxy as well.

Should be done by the end of today and then I have to start with details.

Also, what do you guys think..A) widen the stock fenders around the wheel wells or B.) just buy axiel fender flares?

For the record, this shit is harder than I thought.

When I sectioned it, the middle of the hood turned into a crest. Fixing it as I type. I multitask like a mofo.

Just don't know what to go with for a grill /headlight combo. I really want round headlights and just a thick diamond type grill. I am open to some pretty great ideas ATM.

Yes, that's the one I couldn't bring myself to cut up.

BTW...check out the new flares that RC4WD makes for this thing before you order the Axial Dingo ones.

Trey, I did this for us. Can't go to an event with 2 of the same clod buster bodies. Or at least I cant =)
Granted this is the wrong body to be practicing on, I had nothing else.

We'll have plenty of them before too much longer. I'm planning to go that direction with my class 2 eventually and Zero might have one in about 6 months...

Hood is pretty much fixed, filled, and sanded. Just need to go over with a blade to bring out the line of the hood.

This body weights a good amount now. I am not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I think I will probably do a exo-cage for this. Don't think I will use brass, but instead go with steel. I have a buddy that welds cages for a living.

trey i have no idea why you wouldnt do something with the tundra body and at least get something close to your 1:1. that would be bitchin.

matzilla was selling a pretty killer tundra ttc cage with the body. but i need another rig like i need another hole in my head...

speaking of which...

its not for sale right now, but i do think in the near future i'm gonna pull the drivetrain out of this and offer it up. i just got too many coals in the fire as it is, and its a shame to let this sit when somebody could do good with it.

it'd be an awesome project to learn how to braze. it most definitely needs a better way to tie the cage to the frame/body... i'll make it available to nirc peeps before i list it in the bst if i do decide to sell it.

Yeah, I dunno. I'd rather have a Tacoma...and that's what the honcho body is. That's why I chose the honcho. It looked like my truck. But everybody has a honcho. I just don't like the tundra that much. My first truck was a '72 K-5 Blazer and at the time my dad had a '85 Chevy pickup. The old chevy's just do it for me.

Tonight I had my Wolf scouts make fishing poles. We use a doll rod, 4 lb tess string and bobber and jig. One kid never fished. Them we we to a local pond

Check out the large mouth my son Matthew caught. I could not believe it!!! His biggest fish ever.

All the scouts must be on the same timeline. We just took one of our wolf dens, my sons, fishing on Tuesday. His catch was more like bait though....
