Panther Cougars

People need to remember in this instaint gratification society that a ggod rock crawler doesn't bolt together. The same goes with tires, you got to tune anything, these tires are unreal if you get your foam setup right. The foam is so much more important with these tires than the losi or proline tires because the rubber is much more supple, not hard like what we are used to. Just like a 1:1 rig you have to experiment with air pressure, same thing here with foams. I can take a top of the line 1:1 comp tire and run it at 0psi or 100psi and say it sucks, see where I am going here?????

On second though, yeah they suck, I will be happy to be the only one running them."thumbsup"

Let me start off with I have recently had Hammer M3, sold them, ran rock claw, very good and I have a set of Badlands M2, also very good. NOW, I just ran these tires for the first time today and........DAMN...I love these tires. I ran the stock memory foams in the front and I used some custom made memory foams in the rear. I made the foams in the rear a little taller and it seems to work on my rig and on my rocks. Like Kam said, you need the right foam set-up for your rig. I have finally found the right set-up for me."thumbsup"

i dont know about your rock but mine are feathered up pretty good after only about 2 or 3 packs on them.

maybe its the cobalt puller though? 8)

im running the stock foams in front with plenty breathing which seem too soft but, they are working great, and the hybrid #5 hybrid reaches in the rear with 1 breather hole, and they seem to walk tha dog

i got lots of prolines sitting in the floor, some never even run.

my dad told me today to "ORder me some of those damn tires son, get em comin! foams and all!"

Try some stiffer foams up front as well to see how they run.
I ran the Kreepy reds up front and took them out immediately. Way too soft. I run Ofna stock foams up front (stiffer) and a little heavier wheel and finding the rig to run very well this way. I am running a Force-1 torsion rig though.

Smart dad ya got there!!"thumbsup":)

Here's where my red dots are at. There's a chance I have more run time on these than anyone else has on theirs, maybe not.

They absolutely work their best at slow wheelspeeds, which will lend itself to longevity.

Just got mine from RPP today and mounted them up! I love the flex on these things and the tread looks excellent. Looks like Panther spent a good amount of time developing these. Can't wait to hit the rocks with them this weekend.

got mine today also, very impressed with the beads definitely the easiest tire Ive ever mounted on bead locks, went into my VF bead locks very easily, I used 1/4" narrowed standard Losi foams on the front and Proline narrowed 1/4" in the rear. Overall very impressed with them. I will run them tomorrow

Sorry Tanis you had it right. See people do admit to being wrong on the net."thumbsup"
Shows a bit of your character, to be able to do that Norm8)8) I look forward to hopefully meeting/crawling with you some day.

Nice video Badd! Not only were the tires impressive, but the course was nice and your rig breaks over those ledges perfectly. Guess it's time for me to ditch the stock Axial chassis!

man I love mine, Just need to play around with the foams. These things grab just like fingers"thumbsup" And I am running a scale chassis with 3/4 droop.
