Panther Cougars

:roll:Guess it had nothing to do with the way you drive? thank god for the tires or you probably wouldn't have pulled it off;-) because your driving BLOWS:lol:

Luv ya too Tiny. I don't think I would have made it up the second gate on the finals course with anything else, and that is the truth"thumbsup"

Sounds like your not seating the tire bead in the wheel right. No way for the bead to pull out unless it isn't seated correctly before tightening the beadlocks down.

I've ran with screws loose on my beadlocks and never pulled the beads out.

In fact. Everytime I have to remove my tire from the wheel, it takes some effort to pry the beadlock from the tire, and remove the tire from the wheel.

Give it another shot and make sure the tire bead is seated in the groove of the wheel. Of course this does have something to do with the compound of these tires. "thumbsup"

I tryed out Panthers today. They didnt work for me. Good traction but beads pulled out to easy.:x

I would have to agree with this! I have ran these tires on several different wheels, and have never had a problem with them pulling out of the beads. The biggest thing I have found with these tires, is do not get in a hurry when mounting them. Take your time and make sure that the bead is seated properly in the groove before bolting on the ring.

Flash - what wheels you running these on? If Erickson, I know they will hold the Panther bead very well!!

Mounted me up a set of these on MSD top guns. The first thing I noticed is foam setup is critical. The different characteristics of the foams you use are easy to see. Makes it easy to dial it in.
After several foam setups (too soft, too bouncy, to grippy) I went with NWTT #5 and #8 reaches. Threw some weight on the wheels and , WOW! With just the fronts turning these things will drag the whole rig over ledges:shock:! Now I have a use for freewheel besides getting out of a bind.
I'm actually putting in the slipper I've had lying around, due to twisting off 3 Jato shafts and 2 rustys due to traction! They should call the compund "GRIPtonite"! I lost a little stability from increased ride height, but I'll fix that.

Another win yesterday for the cougars and 4 of the top 5 were Panthers at the SERCRC season final event.

And how many of them were berg based builds ;-)?

I bought cougars a few days ago and I'm going to use the same foam setup as you were suggesting: NFTT hybrid reach #8 front and 5# rear.

What would you suggest for proline badlands?
Now I'm running them with panther memory foams.
Sorry off topic..

well today i ran my panthers for the first time... all i can come up with is, WOW! they climbed and sidehilled better than any of the pro-lines ive run. almost too much traction in some cases. im running full proline memory foams in all 4 with 1/2" of non memory foam on the outside in the front and half an aces donut on the outside in the rear.

Panthers?

Pffffffft, those things will never work!;-)

My bed is made of Super Softs, and my slippers are made from Softs.

I'm good.
