Petaluma F350 Build High Lift

Thanks bulkon!!! Greatly appreciate the kudos.
I'm planning on restarting (taking a break) my scx10 fire/rescue. I'll likely have most completed by next yr. It's full of suprizes. :)

Slack... Here's the sizes you were asking about. The rear bed brasswork size is 5/32

The front bumper is 5/32 along the top. The lower section consist of 13/64 solid tube with a 7/32 sleeve for bulk and support. Once formed, they were soldered in place. My truck picked up a vouge frequency and suddenly jumped off a rock, falling 3 feet onto the front bumper. The result was a small gouge. It's a good, sturdy bumper I feel confident having my winch attached to.

Hey......

Been following your build.............Looks Great "thumbsup"

The rims you show in the picture you are asking what kind they are?
They look like XD's "Deisels"

"99ram" from Bad Attitude Machining is making me a set for my "John Boyer" F-350 ext cab build .................You should PM him (Paul)

Best regards V8

Cool! Although I've had a few other projects going, and lifes little unexpected plans that seem to get thrown my direction quite often these days, my Adventure Truck has been a bit stagnant lately. Not proud of that - but hope to pull it out this summer and get back into my groove again."thumbsup" I'll check out what your buddy has to offer. Thanks for the heads up - ALWAYS appreciate any help.

 WOW Nice work just read the whole thread and WOW"thumbsup"

Thank you greatly, that means a lot. I know- It's a LOT to go through... LOL. This was my first build and first time posting here so a lot of those early pics were huge!

Very creative! Might gonna try that next time for my truck ;)

Anytime I can help out a fellow builder - that's how some of this build got underway. Just checking out what other guys have done and went from there. For example - I didn't know what styrene was until I started checking out other build threads, then I discovered a new ability I didn't know I had and that went untapped for a log time. Once you put your mind to it - it seems you can build anything. Even if it's your first time.

wow~~~that is really great job!!!! the car is so cool!!!!hope i have that skill!!!"thumbsup"

You definitely have it in you bro. Just take things one step at a time. I had NO CLUE what the heck I was doing. Just a matter of trial and error. My suggestion, is start off with a proto type of paper, cardboard stock (some scotch tape) and tweak as needed. It's a lot cheaper than experimenting with styrene only to have to scrap a plan and start over. If you can see it somewhere - you CAN build it.:)

Excellent car. You understand very well the modified procedures. I watched with admiration. has been very good. I would like to congratulate you.

THANK YOU "slmdmrc" "thumbsup""thumbsup" Sorry it's been a while since I've been on... But as previously mentioned, workload is horendous at the moment. Besides, weather hasn't been very favorable. The older I get - the warmer I feel I have to be and it's been pretty darm cold lately!

I do appreciate the kind words. Thank you again!

7 years later!. Hardly can tell. This truck has survived the test of time for sure.

Plans in the works for a new radio and transmitter - that's for sure. The current Futaba is ancient by today's standards. Not a big fan of the telescoping antenna array either. :)

Not sure why these pics say photobucket - which is sad because I lost the originals in a phone water accident.

You can still go to your photobucket account and download them (one by one) back to your computer. There's also a bulk downloader app, but it costs a couple bucks, I haven't used it, and I don't want to break any forum rules by endorsing or linking to it.

I'm using the "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" in the Chrome browser and I can see your pics... Nice truck!

"thumbsup"

Good to know- thanks guys. In a world of cell phones- might be a while until I can get to a desktop (ha!)

Sorry guys- been away for a while but not lost and good to know not forgotten. Trucks been parked for a spell. Have another honcho that’s been in the works from 2019. Slow burner and of course- now recession? Frick!!
