You don't even have a clue what your talking about.

Then enlighten me.

I think you have 17 pages of enlightenment. "thumbsup"

good effort 666, looks like you have no clue what you're talkin about from my point of view, you say that we (or duuuuuuuude) have no idea what were talkin about then get called out on it and run away with your tail between your legs.

from your first post you clearly had something to ad? then decided its all been covered in the past 17 pages? I dont get it and it looks like you don't either. the poll results are pretty straight forward "thumbsup"

There are only a few complaining here really. Those who are crying "save my cheater chassis" are people who haven't made it to many national events huh? Those of you who are loud typers should just let the adults make the rules here. The rest of you kids and newbies pay attention to the adults here...we're working. :lmao::flipoff:...with toy trucks. 8)

Is this the "civil" discussion we're supposed to be having?

It looks to me like 185 people are complaining.

Oh there may only ne a few of us loud typers.....but there are MANY who have voted LOUDLY

I would love to see this conversation continue with people other then Dude and Rock Hard saying the same thing over and over.

Could you guys allow others to chime in without you saying anything for a little while?

nothing stops people from typing, except possible backlash....like you said, there are many who support the ban,but are affraid to speak up for the tension......but why are they not voting????

there are surely peopl on our side who feel the same, they may not wish to creat conflict with other members, club leaders, ect. But they can vote, and by doing so the ARE speaking up.......question is...do you hear them?

besides, its holloween, people have kids,parties,ect....just wait..tomorrow is another day and you may get your wish

what would you like us "others" to say this thread is about one thing. forbidding bodiless rigs in sporty is WRONG no matter how you say it.

there you happy now :flipoff:

Tell you what, I'm going to go back and re-read all 18 pages of this thread, plus the few pages in 4Xford's sporty build thread (where this all started) and get my mudda fuggin' enlightenment on.

You guys chit chat amongst yourselves while I'm gone. ;-)

here we go,someone who speaks what it really is

I speak for myself. I speak from someone who walked up to the local group several years ago and became involved immediately and more then most. Straight up, I made the time, effort and money investment in my local club. I didn't start up with all the fancy crap you whipper snappers have today. There is a lot of time and effort for this hobby to even be here! Then comes along a few know it all's...aka loud typers. You guys who are crying are guys I have never met at any comp I have attended. 2.2 comp level or scale Nats. Why? Cause your full of hot air and greasy keyboard fingers. I sure hope you guys are this involved with your local clubs. You got the knowledge and time.

the "haters" well guess what...we dont all like the same foods,we dont all like the same drinks...and we dont all like the same chassis.

I'm sorry to say but the bodiless rigs are the most similar bodies yet. No?

Oh there may only ne a few of us loud typers.....but there are MANY who have voted LOUDLY

Your poll wasn't simple. It wasn't yes or no. You guys weren't even PC about the options. You make it look bad to say "no, I don't want to allow bodiless rigs". Why?

This is still toy trucks guys. :flipoff:

Oh Baller your such a tough guy and I love your "cheater chassis" analogy for a legal and USRCCA approved chassis type you crack me up. :lmao:

By the way no grown man with toy trucks will ever be classified as a "Adult" anyway and that defiantly lease us both out of that scenario. "thumbsup"

For clarification, in case it actually needs it, that thread was started as a joke.

Is that why its such a good read? There was alot of joking within that debate

but still if you read it through and through...there was a debate within that thread, and frustration.....and that was appearently just a joke...

no wonder the tension withn this thread is higher.

Here's what works:

- A club promoting a fun attitude that welcomes new people into the hobby.
- The current sportsman, 1.9, 2.2, Super classes.
- Bodied crawlers.
- Bodiless crawlers.

Here's what doesn't work:

- The win at all costs attitude.
- Spec classes.
- Novice classes that aren't run along with the regular classes, by the more experienced drivers.
- cheap brushed motors with worm axles.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the attitude that people are greeted with when they fist come to an event means far more than anything to do with what the other guys are driving. It took some time to learn that lesson, but we pretty much have it down at our comps, where we've learned how to approach the newer guys when they come in.

Here's a few things that people need to stop asking for:
Spec Classes
Spec classes don't work. New guys want to upgrade their stuff. To stay in the spec classes, they're not allowed to. Therefore, the only guys who stay in them are the veterans who are looking for something else to do...at least until they get bored with it. Any spec class I've seen attempted has fizzeled out after only a handful of comps.

Pro Shafty.
We have a place to run your shafty with dig. It's called 2.2. You might attend an individual event that offeres a prize to the highest placed shafty, but that's about all that's going to happen there. It would simply thin it out too much to consider anything else.

National Level Novice class.
I don't speak for everybody, but I don't see this happening any time soon or ever. It's sort of a contridiction. Novice classes are something that should be handled at the club level. The individual clubs have a better idea of what will work in their area, with their terrain, and with the local interest. Novices typically aren't as interested in travelling and spending the money to attend the national events. I know it's hard enough to get all of the pro level drivers in my club to attend the bigger events, let alone get the novice drivers.

AS a rules committee, we can't set the tone for the attitude that the new guys are greeted with, but as members of this hobby, we should be able to. When it comes to bringing in new people, I think we all want the same thing. I just think we all have different ideas how to achieve that goal.

hmm, wasnt my pole,I mearly read in the sportsman thread....then saw this one.voted and have been speaking my mind same as you..

I myself saw nothing wrong with the pole.....soundle simple enough

the arguement at the time is bodies attract more people, cuz bodiless is intimidating.....so the oles descriptions fits IMO very nicely.

You dont like bodiless, you would rather push your "type" of chassis upon all those within the class...why:flipoff:

Oh,since you gave some of your history

my 1st rig was w/k and a home built chassis, went to my 1st comp in 08 and was hooked...very active within my club from day one.
been to 6 large comps, and nats once since I started....went from home brew,to home brew to sling shot to t1e.....
and my next build is a slingshot shafty with a rockshow cab..........so this rule sux ars

Norm, your sig cracks me up. "T1e shafty" it's personal for you. Just go back to your tvp and deal with it. Why aren't you in an moa yet? You know it's what all the cool kids are doing.

As for an adult...it's sarcasm. That's the last thing I say in my post...they're toy trucks.

The mob is angry...go occupy wall street?:flipoff:
