Petition/poll ~ Keep bodiless rigs in Sportsman!!!!

I can tell you that it's nothing like that. Jason and Fishmaxx don't even vote. No corporate asked me to vote one way or another. Our true thought was for the sport. So you don't need to be spreading any shit like this on the wall.;-)

I was pretty hot when I typed all that, and I'm relatively sure I pissed some people off, definitely didn't do much for my reputation that's for sure.

But comments were made that started that line of thinking, and nobody jumped up to say otherwise. It was just something that stuck in my head because very little information was being offered.

I have no idea where this "appealing to anything corporate based" came from because thats simply not true and I am not here to bullshit anybody.

There were a couple comments made...I'll have to dig them up.

We are simply setting up a new national based class and one that has its limitations and more based on the old school setups.

The only old school setup that has ever been mentioned was a return to a body only format. That's it. That doesn't sound like a nostalgia type class to me.

Why do people think a body means lexan?

If tubers are legal, thats great. But the topic was brought up and nobody gave an answer.


I really, truly, seriously hope this all was just a horrible communication error. So much of this could have been avoided...

Rarely. Something tripped my trigger, thats all I can say.

You guys do do work, and you do good work, but with nobody saying anything it seemed like insanity and way off base from the norm.

Again, nobody said "look, this is what we're doing" until things were getting out of hand. Yes, I said things got out of hand.

Now that we know about this one new rule, could we be told about other future rulings that might put all of this into place? Starting a new class that is being referred to as "old school" should be limiting to more than chassis style.

And for the record, if it is a true nostalgia class, I've been behind that since it was mentioned a couple of years ago. I love the old rigs and it'd be an awesome class to be in.

That I fear is inevitable in the far futur,but not the near
this class will replace it likely....at a club level atleast
thats why its so Important to me this class start of with a simulare rule structure as 1.9

I have no doubt this will be revisited,not now right now appearently,but it will,I only hope the vote goes the otherway next time.

maybe some members who previously voted body only..after listening to the other commitie members reasoning for it..Will now intead take some time to litsen to those they truely represent,which is the drivers in thier state

Like rock hard said, the bodiless rule will be revisited and reviewed. The good news is they have no doubt how everyone feels about it.

This is not true, and until the rules are published for 2012 don't count on anything.

You have jumped overboard with this, and filled the thread full of emotion and misinformation.

And on that note I am closing this thread, and the all the others you started on the same subject.
