What is the smallest spur gear for the micro? 52?

What is the biggest pinion for the micro with the stock size motor shaft?

are you trying to make it go faster?

cause the combinations of gears you are trying to source will make it faster.

I wanna know what I can use to gear it as slow as possible. It has the smallest pinion on it already so how big of spur can we find that doesn't hit the output shafts.

check out my build threads, i use 59T rally spurs in mine! lowest you can go with a little moding.

Thanks to those who have replied.
I am trying to make mine go faster. I am running a 2kV outrunner brushless and just need more wheelspeed.

There are 17 tooth losi micro rally brass pinions on ebay from benmelee or something not sure on the spelling.

there are 50T losi micro t spurs that are alum, possibly even 49T

Good to know. I never know what other parts will cross to different vehicles.

I orderd a brass pinion set and a 52 tooth aluminum spur. I am pretty certain that my little motor wont be able to handle the 17/52 combo without some major cogging, but if I can get a 14/52 to work that might be the ticket. We shall see

What size are the factory spur gear and pinion?
And how do you calculate the effect of changing one or the other?
And last, what is the best setup for crawling not speed?

Having fewer teeth on the pinion (motor gear) means that it has to turn more times to rotate the the spur gear 1 revolution. As the number of teeth on a gear change so will the diameter. Just something to watch out for, it can cause making things mesh to be difficult.

Best setup for low speed crawling would be smallest pinion with largest spur.
