Plastic Lightweight Axle tubes...from the CNC!

new axle tubes fresh of the CNC. the black ones are delrin, the red ones are oil filled nylon

the rears...pretty standard

are you ready for the fronts?

they are .5" longer per side. milled ends for axial outers, and a reliefe cut for the servo.

What are you planning on running for front axle shafts? Any plans of making aluminum fronts?

I'm curious as to how you are going to use the axial outers with the Bully shafts?
Do you plan to modify the C's, Knuckle bearing races' and the stubs and the inner shaft length?? or are you keeping the stock width of the inners?

got the rears installed. Eff'd up the out bearing as the end of the aluminum tubes i had were crumpled.

so i got a set of the blue seal bearings on order

the fronts will be a bit longer. i need to get my hands on some axial parts. and the XVD's from the super

Nice job on those fronts....if the front holes don't hold up try putting so ss helicoil inserts in all the threaded holes....

It's all evolution of the sport, I don't mind a bit. I was just curious as to how you were going to connect the ends since the V6 XVD's are the real pain.Double check my Bully PRO thread on the XVD measurements, they are pretty crucial. PM me if you need any more info.

As far as them holding up, I think you might be able to make a simple truss that bolts to the link mounts and even screw into the fromt of the case. (similar to what R2j Kustoms makes for the Axial housings).
Eritex might still have the jig we used to machine my knuckles, the R&D is done so the price is right."thumbsup"

i'm not really worried about the front tubes. i added some extra meat into them to help with the strength.

i might ust talk to your machinist and get him to do the knuckles.....maybe not. i dunnno. i'm in the process of moving from my condo (for sale for 3 years) to a house. once i'm in the house i will have my own shop and i can really hammer down on some projects.

stock knuckles on axial c's require a lot of grinding of the knuckles for them to turn.
