Pro mod Bronco buggy chassis

if i were you i would get a different esc i had to go throught 3 to get one that worked descently im not sure if you have had probs with yours but i hate mine

but your bronco is freekin awsome man

I've had good luck with these tazer escs. I hav the 15t which i got wet numerous times and eventually goes back to normal and this one I haven't had any problems and I accidently drag it across the rocks when it fell out on my previous rig one time.

I like where this is going, nice job!

Its hard to be different, but you are going a good job at it right now.

Keep it up "thumbsup"

More updates.

  • shock and link mounts (with some dimple dies :-P)
  • front- reverse 4 link (may become a dual triangulated 4 link)
  • rear- pan hard bar with triangulated bottoms
  • still moving around the suspension
some nice flex  I was trying to get more out of the front than the by angling the shocks in some.

ax10 tranny was bigger than expected i dont know if i can get it to fit with out cutting into the inside of the gear box :!: I'm also trying to run a bolt up shaft instead a driveshaft since im workin with tight space. I'm thinkin of spending the extra cash on a cold case or something which is alot smaller.

getting everything to clear is getting very hard on this build I also got to worry about if my batteries are going to fit too.
Still more brazing to do, these 2-56 nuts take forever and need 100% concentration.

This things pretty darn sick! Nice work buddy! "thumbsup"

Thanks, I'm dying to get it finished but It takes forever even though I'm workin on it all the time. If I didn't spend so much time mocking up and measuring then it would come along faster but then the ocd would kick in and I'd be like "fu#% sh%$! I should have done that differently!." lol, so it's alot of thinkin and staring.

sounds like you and I have a lot in common! just spend a few hours looking at some awesome builds on here for inspiration before you go to work on it. like Metal Masher's builds. or War Pig's, check this out. it should help inspire you.

Actually I get all my inspiration from 1:1 rigs on pirate4x4 and stuff. Also I'm tired of all the freakin toyotas cause they pretty much make up the 1.9 forum. I wish people would do more "creative" builds with more tube frames and stuff. (I really like Robbob's fun buggy even though it is a model, it actually gave me some inspiration)

Dude, how do you build something like that with OCD? I have ADD and can hardly stand to build the links on my crawlers.

I don't kno if OCD is a "mental disorder" (which I don't have) I just kno people who are really obsesivley organized say they do and stuff like that. But alot of times for me it's hard to accept something or to be happy with it unless it's absolutley perfect which is annoying. I think I'll grow out of it.

My front pinion angle is at about 0* so I need to clock my c's.

That IS a cool pic.
Shouldn't you be done with this by now? I thought we had a competition to see who finished their Bronco first? Mine's been done since May, and I've already completely re-painted it once .

I did finish it lol. This is just the build for my 2010 rig 8)
I got alot done in the first couple days on this one, now its just little bits at a time. I also moved the brazing equipment into my room so I can get more done a little easier, and I switched to an old mapp torch head for a better flame. (still want to get a oxy/acet setup with a jewlers torch or something lol)
Back to school today but I'll try not to let that slow anything down.
Heres my schedule: A day: jazz band, AP us history, physics, english
B day: Symphonic band, Music technology, AP music theory, Trigonometry. Pretty cool

Still not finished the frame yet, :|. Though I brazed on the majority of nuts to the frame and started trimming the panels and such to fit. And made a fuel cell which will hold the receiver and crap.

Haven't gotten much done lately, been going really slow. School has been taking up all my time too which sucks cause I thought this year was gonna be easy. I got some used 2/3a packs I disassembled and will solder together once I get the battery bars I ordered. Instead I'll be putting the batteries in the fuel cell, which I made a new one. Also brazed the rear servo mount. I cut out a grill out of stainless sheet metal instead of the styrene. Made a tranny cooler/radiator. And I got a bunch of 2-56 button head hex screws which look clean as anything. (Mcmaster for like $6 for 100) Also I need a TRANSFER CASE. anybody selling one cheap?
