project: Heavy Metal Hummer

again thanks for the comments guys... I'm glad the rig is appreciated and I hope it's an inspiration for others to build some awesome rigs for themselves :) as far as the IFS, it performs VERY well... no complaints at all from me. this rig will go anywhere... especially with all the metal parts adding the weight down low.

Hey, KC what part of Georgia are you in?

I was at Toys R Us with the kids and debated this body for a 1.9 build but held off.

I knew it was a matter of time before someone made a killer rig out of one.

well I live in newnan... but I'm all over ga every day for my job as a truck driver for a metal distributor out of lithia springs. thanks for the compliments! I need to come to one of the get togethers one day... anything coming up here soon?

thanks again... and while I do appreciate all of the offers to buy this rig from me it's not up for sale at the moment lol... I haven't even had a chance to run it yet lol.

Wow , that is a really neat truck, you've opened my eyes to this chassis. I just passed them by before. You did an awesome job on this one. One question though , where did you get the driver in the first few pics ? I think painting that stuff red is a great idea.

Dwane

thanks dwano... it's a pretty good performer even with the suspension stock... just add a 55 turn and you don't even need a gear reduction box.

oh yea the driver is still in it you just can't see him from the angle of the new pics... he came with a sand scorcher body I got in a trade all I did was some painting on him.

that hx really looks great, KC!
im working on one myself... it wont be nearly as cool as yours, but it will be indy suspension like its supposed to be!
"thumbsup"

got the flatirons on it... much taller than the mud thrashers but I made a set of custom offset wheels so I can run em cause I heard that these g8 compound tires are awesome for crawling. as far as the shock hoops I made those too :)
