Roof Rack is done and ready to go out tomorrow to be powder coated. I should have it back by the weekend. Here's a quick pic, I still have to punch the holes in the roof for it yet, so it's way high in the pic. It will sit about 1/8" off of the roof and follow the contour when it is mounted.

I am really thinking of tossing together a more scale chassis for it. I had no intentions of taking it this far. I already have one drawn up and bent, so I think I know what I will be doing on my days off this week  I will be adding one of the scale off road Hi Lift jacks and a few other of stefan's details soon...

Lol, cool. I'm also crazy about driving my scaler that I finally built up when the MFM chassis arrived. I am awaiting a Range Rover Sport body, and an LR3 body. Sadly though, I need longer shocks. The 60 mm ones that I have are too short. How long are your shocks, and are they good?

Look forward to seeing it. As fas as the shocks go, I'm not sure on what mm length they are, but I beleive are .89's. I have something up my sleeve for this one so they might be coming off soon too....."thumbsup"

see scalers are never done lol

That is so true. I got my MFM chassis and the Axial trans, but then my spur gear wouldn't fit, so I had to get a new pinion and spur. Then, the shocks were too short, so I traded for some Big Bores, etc. And I had a K10 body, which I traded for the Rover Sport and an LR3. The truck is a runner, sort of. I need shocks, the bodies, and misc tweaking, to get her "right". After that, who knows..

FINALLY! I just got the roof rack back from the powder coater today. Here are the updated picks fully mounted and ready for the add-ons and LED's......

I am about done with the workbench shots....should be able to get some outside shots tomorrow at a spot I found with shallow enough snow to get to it

Body #2 will be here by the weekend.... This will be the support vehicle

Do I dare say build off ?????

oh no you di'int!

my skills do not compare...yours is a striking example. Did you ever send the front grille btw? I haven't gotten it if you did.

Not yet, shortly after we discussed it I have a second one for you soon too.... they will be on their way soon as I get the second one
Will PM ya soon with some stuff

how did you mask the light buckets?
blacked out grill looks killer

it is a PITA, but tape disks... laid a piece of 3M blue tape on each bucket and cut the excess off, and hope it stays. Plug the rear holes with Q tip, or wad of tape scrap. Works great, just have to watch the PSI on the brush a bit and check often to make sure they are not coming off.......

I'll post up on some "how to" of the stuff I did in a bit. This being the first build thread, I tend to get too involved on wanting to get it done, then TUT stuff.
