Son has a Traxxas Slash SVT Raptor edition. Eventually replaced the body with the Proline Pro-2 SCT Raptor body (my son is obsessed with Raptors). My 6yo who is more into aesthetics of his truck more so than funcion saw the RPM rear tire carrier and asked Santa to bring him one. Since Baja 1000 trucks all have spare tires on the back his truck needed them as well. Well low and behold Santa let the tire carrier and bumper under the Christmas tree!

Mounting was pretty straight forward. Had to trim out the body to clear the tires of which I didn't do the best job because my son was really rushing me to hurry. But, the tire mount seems solid enough, though not what I call beefy. We've rolled it several times at speed and it seems to be holding up well. Everything fit together well. Setup feels much more solid once the tires are installed.

The Electrifly S600 19T motor I had in it was woefully underpowered for the setup. 13.5T 3000kv felt underpowered and ran real hot. Got a Hobbywing WP-SC8 and 4700kv brushless setup on 2s Lipo geared down to 13/90 and the setup actually runs great. I never went with a higher power setup for my son because all he would do is doughnuts and couldn't control it. But, with the added weight tires in the back it really settles down a live rear end. Small blip of the brakes to get the weight transferred and the front tires biting and you can really gun it out of the corners with a little bit of drift without fear of exiting the corner backwards.

For the record my 6yo did all of his decals (except for the lights and grill decals which I did). After he ran through the Proline decal sheet he found the decal sheet from my Mad Torque crawler and added some more :) He even painted the body himself, though I did all of the masking.

I think its a nice looking truck, Ive always loved the pre runners/pro lite/etcc.... trucks. I think the spare tire holder really adds to the look. i think its the 4th picture that caught my eye.
