it all comes down to statistics imho

yes christianity, has the largest slice of the pie but compare the subsects.

yes i know the numbers i'm about to list arent exact

if you break down the list of

christians
33 percentage of population / 14 subsects listed = 2.4 percentage per subsect

muslims
21 percentage of population / 2 subsects listed= 10.5 percentage / subsect

lets just say 1 out of every million people of the subsect is an extremist, and of that 1 out of every ten thousand had gone over the deep end. muslim "uber extremists" still out number the christian "uber extremist" about 5 to 1.

also the big problem is that mis-guided people has a weird way of finding other mis-guided people and end up fawking it up for everyone else. :|

5 crazy people working in unison can do a whole lot more damage the 1 crazy person working by themself
again as I said earlier
I was meaning in our world TODAY.
I dont know of anyother faith in todays world that has so many who are eager to kill.

religion is the root of evil all religion. If there was no religion 75% of all the worlds wars would not of happened ( and no 75% is not a fact) just my perspective on it.

i just mushroom stamped my girlfriend's forehead, but she isn't protesting or boycotting it. in fact she wishes everyone will unite under one knob........:flipoff:

I'm not a big fan of religion either, but a peaceful world isn't that easy.

There's always some asshole wanting to fight for some stupid reason, and they tend to attract other assholes into doing it as well.

history has it's cycles. In a hundred years muslims could be saying the exact same thing about christians, and when someone brings up this time period they'll say "yeah, I know that happened, I'm talking about right now, in today's society"

each religion has had its time where its crazies killed thousands of people for no reason other than igorance and blind hatred.

i completly understand what you're saying about "our world today." but wouldnt you concider a random hate crime a form of terrorism?

the media doesnt really care if 1 kid gets beat to death, but a high body count, now that's headline material.

1 dead kid and they give money to a foundation, 1,000 dead people and big businesses them pay millions for ad space

yes,and to be honest christians have killed many muslims.
the great crusades is an example.

but we[christians/americans]have mentally evolved. we have become
most understanding and forgiving as a faith.

thats not what has happened to islam.
as we have become more excepting/loving as a group
they are becoming less tolerant/more hatfull as a group

the writting is on the wall.
you see it or you dont.

Yeah, well I keep trying to lighten up the thread, but everyone is making it a hate issue.

Hey douchebags! You know the guy who is your buddy you are crawling with might be a redneck, a jew, a christian, a sex predator, a tax evader, a wife beater, a child abductor, I can go on. Just drop it and move on for crist sakes. The stamp isnt a US approved stamp. Its a self made stamp. relax, drink a beer. beat your dog.

Many Jews and Christians were killed then too. First the Crusades, then the Inquisition which was basically the Crusades all over again.

Just wait. Its easy to seem "understanding" when you're surrounded by people just like you.

Not quite sure if you're quoting the article or if it's your opinion, but in that last line, it's comparing a religion with a nationality, definitely not the same thing or even the same category. "Americans" include all different religions, not just Christianity. I know you already know that, just using it as a relative statement I guess.

Now while I don't believe in open borders, I do believe in America being an open country willing to accept others just as it did in its infancy, that's what it was founded upon. However, it should all be due process in becoming a citizen and responsible American (the term responsible is thrown around extremely loosely even with the most patriotic born Americans sometimes, but that's another conversation entirely). I know it's supposed to be set up like that right now, but we all know it isn't working, and if it takes a damn wall a mile high to CONTROL immigration, then so be it...I would be there to place the first brick if I could.

My point was to show the OP that more people of Muslim faith in this country is going to continue to happen.

...and he might as well get used to it.
