Got mine I will be trying it tonight when I get home
Thanks Al !!
Thanks Al !!
Okay I am interested in this. If the TLU01 doesn't work, I'll just get new leds that plugs into the receiver.
How do I pay? How much shipped to 92832?
Thanks.
I'm not sure it would work. My circuit provides only receiver voltage at its output.
If you are feeling brave, see if it will run on 6 volts. If it does, you can use the "Remote Switch For LED Lighting" or do the following...
I have another circuit that activates a relay. It plugs in the same way to your receiver, but it has a pair of screw terminals on the circuit. You could use it to switch one of the thin wires that connects from the male/female tamiya plugs to the Tamiya box.
You can have that for $20 plus shipping if you are interested.

Cut the thin red wire that goes to the plug in the upper left corner and put the two ends to the relay.
Just wondering if operating the TLU-01 worked this way as I'm interested in doing the same thing.
I think your "RC Lighting Control Using External Power" may be close to what I'm after.
I'm just working the idea in my head ATM which is why I can't give hard specs. What I'm thinking of is taking the pin outs from a lighting kit that would usually connect to a pair of LEDs and instead using that as the trigger for a relay to turn on one of the large LED roof bars.
That pin out from the lighting kit is probably about 3v and at least 50ma, I'm awaiting confirmation. The larger LED bar will be connected directly to it's own or the main battery.
Does that make sense? I'm working on about 3 hours sleep ATM.
I'm just using the description of relay as that's how I'd do it on a real car. Usse a relay on a low power circuit to switch a high power circuit. Will your cicuit work without the signal wire connected? In my case it won't be connected to a receiver channel, just a positive and gound.
You mean a manual toggle switch? No as I want to be able to switch it remotely. Basically I'll be taking an existing remotely switched low volatage/circuit used for just two LEDs and making it a higher voltage/current circuit to handle several LEDs.
They sure are. PM coming your way.If these are still available pm or invoice me. Thanks
