Rowdys there's no "I" in team Bully 2

Set is complete, making another list of parts to order that includes the bearings and shims required to make this work. "thumbsup"

So the rumors WERE true....you DO give good hand jobs!

They look great! "thumbsup"

Legendary :afro:

Thanks it's not difficult, cut them down with dremel and cutting wheel, and did the tangs with a file and sanding drum on the dremel, little by little until a no slop fit is achieved.

The knife sharpening stone for the dremel works awesome to putting tanges on shafts too. For future reference :)

That's great! So do you have to cut the long side too?

When they are all buttoned up, do you mind put up a list of part required for the mod?

READ PEOPLE!:lmao: looks good rowdy , wonder if vp will make some ready to go, I still haven't had any issues with my cvds , just had to turn the steering down a bit. can't wait to see whats next for the b2s

I know TEDROCKZ has sent everyone at VP emails asking for B2 shafts. :ror:

Tonight I will measure for bearings and shims and get all that on order to finish this up and hopefully put this issue behind me.

I have a total electronics overhaul to do next, the micro sidewinders died at NENQ.

Looks good Rowdy...If necessity is the mother of all invention...then carnage is the mother of creativity. Im glad you guys have the skills to do this ground work for everyone else to find solutions...its a bear not being able to do this very thing right now.

Is there any difference in the amount of steering you can get out of the vp vs bully cvd's?

Both are 50 degrees, but the VPs are smooth as silk all the way to full lock, the XVDs get rough and jumpy starting around half lock. I feel that the rough jumpyness could be part of the failure issues.

I think I am going to wait this one out to see if there is going to be an axle made to fit. Still have my B1 to throw a battery in if needed.

Yeah I just have to come up with something for nats, not sure other options will be ready in time.

Got some replacement XVD's that feel nice and smooth, I put them in until something better comes along.

Not having correct bearing sizes available for the VVD's ended that route.

i was looking at the Vanquish web sight. I saw the have 2 VVD for Wraith stub shafts available 4mm and 5mm. Would it make a difference getting the a difference size help the bearing problem? Which size did you try?

The size difference is the threaded portion of the stub, the part where the bearings ride is 5mm on both versions I believe.

Working on wiring up new electronics, hope they work I have never wired my own dual escs.
